Hello @etneebrand
Thank you. The issue arises due to the caching of our plugin data on your website. Please do the following:
- WordPress Admin → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings:
— set the “Set cookies” option to “Auto”;
— click Save Changes. - We detected that you are using the WP Fastest Cache and Autoptimize plugins. Please make sure the cache TTL is set to 24 hours or less — this is very important.
- Purge all caches
— Cache plugin cache
— Website/server cache
— CDN cache (if any)
If you notice any new false positives again, please let us know.
Hello @hirejordansmith
Thank you for your patience — everything looks correct now.
403 is not a server error. It is an HTTP response status code that indicates the requested content is forbidden for the current visitor. This is the expected and correct behavior for blocking pages. If you notice anything unusual again, please let us know and we’ll be happy to take another look.
Hello @sabineboogaard1985
Thank you for your request! We’ve reviewed your logs and can confirm that we do see allowed requests, even though there are corresponding entries in your Personal Lists. This behavior is not expected.
We’re investigating this issue internally and will get back to you with feedback and next steps within 1–5 business days.
Thank you for your patience. If you notice any changes in the meantime, please let us know.

In reply to: [Spam protection, Honeypot, Anti-Spam by CleanTalk] Renewal PaymentHello @xpress1234,
We have found your profile and reviewed your payment history in detail.
You created and paid for a new license almost one month before the existing license expired. In this case, the system does not “extend” the current license but creates a new 1-year license starting from the payment date.
To ensure you didn’t lose the remaining time on the previous license, the system automatically applied a prorated discount of $0.89, which corresponds to the unused period from January 6 to February 2. This amount was deducted from the price of the new license.
So the remaining time was not lost — it was converted into a discount on the new purchase, and the new renewal date was correctly set based on the new license start date.

Hello @wphelpstuff
Both errors indicate that the Security Firewall and Malware Scanner received unexpected or corrupted data during an update.
Please try the following steps:
- Clear any server-side cache (LiteSpeed / Cloudflare / WP Rocket / etc.)
- Go to WordPress Admin → Settings → Security by CleanTalk → Synchronize with cloud
If the error returns, please open a ticket in our support system so we can investigate:

Thank you very much for your detailed report — this is extremely helpful.
Could you please tell us:
- How often you see these 5–6 second blocking intervals (e.g., once per hour, once per day, etc.)?
- Which tool or method you’re using to collect the slow logs? This will help us reproduce the same scenario.
From your description, the slowdown happens during the SpamFireWall update process inside the Anti-Spam plugin. To confirm this, please open the plugin settings, disable SpamFireWall option, and save the changes — you can keep the main Anti-Spam protection active. This way, your site will remain protected while we verify that the issue is caused by the SpamFireWall update.
Once we have your feedback, we’ll prepare a patched build or an alternative cron configuration to prevent these updates from affecting live traffic.
