Hi there @thegv2020,
I meant deleting your subscriber completely (permanently from Trash) and creating it from scratch. Just unsubscribing and resubscribing won’t resolve the issue. Deleting these old newsletter will also help.
It’s impossible to determine what exactly is clicking these links. But here are some guesses:
- your email server/email client/antivirus follows the Unsubscribe links in the headers of old emails to check them for phishing and make sure the destination URL is the same as in the email itself;
- there were some cases where unsubscribe links “leaked” to some search engine bots and they kept visiting them.Â
In order to review if this is what happened on your site you could search the access log for links containingÂ
mailpoet_router&endpoint=subscription&action=unsubscribe and check if they were accessed by a bot. Your hosting company might be able to help you with this.Hope it helps!
Hi there @snskcom,
Thanks for reaching out!
The fix for this bug has been released today.
Please let us know if the issue persists after an update to 4.6.1.
Hi there @paolaj1,
Thanks for reaching out!
It’s expected that your Manage Subscription page won’t show any subscriber’s data if you open its URL not from a newsletter and you’re not logged in as any user. It works for WordPress users because MailPoet knows what subscriber it is and what data to show.
The link in your newsletters includes information about the subscriber and should always work from there.
I hope this clarifies a bit, but please let us know if you have any questions!

Thanks for reaching out!
Can you please confirm that your user has Subscribed status in MailPoet? Also, if it’s a guest user (not logged in), ensure they clicked on a link in one of your previous campaigns.
Hi @thegv2020,
I saw this happen in the past when a subscriber’s Unsubscribe link was somehow clicked from time to time on old emails. It could be done by an email client or a bot/malware.
To 100% resolve it, you can recreate your subscriber. The issue will be resolved because these links won’t be active anymore.
Let me know how it goes!
Hi there @heartofahiker,
Thanks for reaching out!
We do open an open bug about captcha not always working in Safari and it should be fixed in the next week’s release: https://github.com/mailpoet/mailpoet/pull/4698
Meanwhile, can you please confirm that it works in Chrome on the same devices?
Hi there @thegv2020,
Thanks for getting back to us! If you edit your subscriber, do see any history for unsubscribing at the bottom of the page?
Hi there @yousaf313,
Thanks for reaching out!
I sent you an email about it a few days ago but will copy it here too just in case:
I can confirm your subscription for chamancbd.com has been approved already, and is showing as “Active” so should be all set for sending.
If you’re still seeing the message about the pending subscription, please go to the MailPoet’s Settings > Key Activation tab and click on the “Verify” button again to update the status of the subscription.
If it doesn’t help, please go to the MailPoet > Settings > Send With… tab and change the sending method temporarily to “Other”, save it, and then change back to the “MailPoet Sending Service”.
It would also be worth clearing your browser’s cache to see if that resolves the issue.
Please let us know how that goes, or if you have any questions!

Hi there @ingridmurrieta,
Thanks for reaching out!
I see that we emailed you about the account pause on January 30th but haven’t’ heard back. I re-sent this email to your MailPoet account’s email address.
@kneandy80, your plan is pending approval. We emailed you before but our reply bounced. I re-sent it too.
Let me know if you haven’t received my emails.
Cheers!
Hi there @emlyn972,
Thanks for reaching out!
I was able to subscribe without any error.
By design, MailPoet uses IP throttling in subscription forms so that bots can’t use them to subscribe a lot of email addresses at once. However, you can disable it by adding this code snippet to your site:
add_filter('mailpoet_subscription_limit_enabled', '__return_false');Here is how you can do it: https://managewp.com/blog/add-code-snippets-to-wordpress
Hope it helps, please let us know if you need further assistance!
Hi there @flempopo,
Thanks for reaching out!
The double opt-in is required when you use MailPoet Sending Service as your sending method. You can disable it only if you choose another sending method: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/128-signup-confirmation-double-opt-in-feature
I hope this clarifies a bit, but please let us know if you have any questions!
