Hi,
Have you downloaded the latest version of Jetpack from http://jetpack.me/? Download the latest version and upload it via FTP to your plugins directory, if you can. That should solve this issue.
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: Redirected back to my site while activating jetpackHi Sonia,
Do you have BuddyPress installed, by chance? That has been known to cause the “redirect to homepage” error.
What types of redirects do you have set up? They shouldn’t necessarily cause any problems, though.
Tim
Did that get everything working for you?
Some hosts block xmlrpc.php specifically. I’d just send them the URL and what you are trying to do. They should be able to tell you why they block it and if they are willing to unblock it.

In reply to: How can I get rid of the Jetpack ad on my dashboard?Hi,
Those are notices, not advertisements. Once you install Jetpack, it is only prompting you to finish setting it up, since, unlike other plugins, there area few steps required to get Jetpack operational.
Once you install and authorize Jetpack, it will act like any other plugin — you won’t see any other notices. It will perform its function in the background.
Thanks,
Tim
Hi,
Could you check to see if you can access the /xmlrpc.php file from your blog? It should be accessible from http://YOUR_SITE_URL/xmlrpc.php
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: JetPackHi Ballet News Admin,
As vsgreaves has said, you have needed a WordPress.com account in the past to use the WordPress.com Stats plugin. The WordPress.com account links your self-hosted WordPress.org blog to the WordPress.com cloud, which enables WordPress.com to uniquely track your blog’s traffic.
If you have more questions, please feel free to contact us through our support page: http://jetpack.me/support/
Hi bjornart77,
Are you by chance using a one click installer from your host? If so, you may want to consider downloading the WordPress package from WordPress.org and manually installing it. Then try installing Jetpack and authorizing it.
Also, more support tips and a contact link for Jetpack support is available at http://jetpack.me/support/

In reply to: Jetpack – causing Internal Server ErrorHi,
Do you have any caching plugins enabled, particularly W3 Total Cache? If you have W3 Total Cache, you can try turning the Object Cache off, then authorize Jetpack. After Jetpack is authorized, re-enable Object Cache and clear it. If you have a different cache plugin, try disabling it prior to authorizing Jetpack.
Other than that, you should try contacting GoDaddy and ask them if they see any reason for Jetpack to not be able to communicate with the WordPress.com servers.
More troubleshooting steps and a contact for Jetpack support is available at http://jetpack.me/support/
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: [Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress] [Plugin: Simple URLs] conflict?Hi cubecolour,
I’ve enabled both Jetpack and Simple URLs on one of my sites and the publish/update functionality of Simple URLs is working. Could you double check and make sure you do not have any other plugins besides Jetpack and Simple URLs enabled? Also, check for a mu-plugins folder in your wp-content directory. If there is anything there, please remove it temporarily for testing.
ETA: Another test to do is switch to the default theme and try using Simple URLs.
Thanks,
Tim
This error typically indicates that your host’s server is having trouble downloading the update from the WordPress.org repository. There are a couple of things you could try:
1. Manually download the files and install them via FTP: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation
2. Submit a support ticket with GoDaddy and see if they can identify an issue between their server and the plugin repository.
Please let me know if this helps. You can always get Jetpack support through the support page: http://jetpack.me/support/
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: Jetpack – causing Internal Server ErrorHi there,
An Internal Server Error typically indicates an issue with the server. If you have access to your error logs, it would be very helpful to see what errors are generated when you activate Jetpack. If you don’t have access, you should be able to submit a support request with GoDaddy and they’ll send them to you.
You can also submit a trouble ticket to the WordPress.com support team once you obtain the error logs: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats listWordPress.com Stats is still useable in the latest version. There was, unfortunately, an error (which has been fixed) that caused problems for folks still running pre-WordPress 3.0 installations.
The upgrade notice is there to raise awareness that future upgrades will be made to the Stats module in Jetpack only. The notice is not designed to force an upgrade and is not intended to interfere with the use of the plugin.
