Jetpack 1.2, slated to be released soon, will not have this functionality. However, this feature is oft-requested and is being considered for inclusion in the future. I can’t speak to a specific release date, though.
Thanks for the report. We’ll investigate and release a fix when it becomes available.

In reply to: Custom post page template not showing sharedaddy author checkbox? The next version of Jetpack, which should be released soon, will have checkboxes in the Settings -> Sharing menu for all registered post types.
Jetpack offers a slideshow shortcode for use with slide.com, which generates slideshows. There’s nothing built-in to Jetpack that allows you to create a slideshow from your Media gallery, however.
The Google +1 button will be in the next version of Jetpack, which should be released soon.

In reply to: Enabling Multisite in V3.2.1Here are the instructions. Typically this is the best way to do it, since it is supported by Core. Any plugin that does it will need maintenance and not always be the most up-to-date way to enable MultiSite.

In reply to: [Plugin: Jetpack] twitter widget returns errorHi,
This is typically a Twitter issue. Their servers sometimes get overloaded and this message will pop up. If you have any sort of cache plugin (Super Cache or W3 Total Cache, for example), you may continue seeing this message until the cache clears. When Twitter’s servers settle down, your widget should respond normally again.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience. There was an error in the initial release of WordPress.com Stats 1.8.5 that caused this error in pre-3.0 installs. As you’ve discovered, it should be fixed if you download the newest set of files from the repository.
If you’d like to disable the notice, there is an option in the Settings menu for WordPress.com Stats.
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: [Plugin: Wp-O-Matic] conflicts with [Plugin: Jetpack]Hi,
I’m sorry you are having trouble. It looks like WP-O-Matic hasn’t been updated in two years or so. Unless you absolutely need its functionality, I’d recommend removing it until such a time as it is updated.
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: Jetpack Facebook-Plugin on my own serverHi Tony,
The Facebook Like button is working as intended. There isn’t any functionality for you to be able to see who clicked the button.
The Google+ button may be coming to Jetpack soon. Keep an eye on it!
Thanks,
Tim
Oh, my mistake. I meant to point you to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/ to download the latest version of WordPress.com Stats.
If you are switching to Jetpack, you could also log in via FTP and delete the “stats” folder from your plugins directory. That should resolve the error and allow you to manage your plugins again.

In reply to: Redirected back to my site while activating jetpackHi Sonia,
Two things:
1. You may need to disable BuddyPress and all BuddyPress plugins, then try to activate Jetpack.
2. You may want to have a look at these directions: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL
You should be able to change your site URL and not have need of the Redirection plugin.
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Sharing no longer worksHi,
If you go to your Dashboard and click on the Jetpack link in the Jetpack menu, you’ll see a configuration area for the Jetpack services. To disable a service, click on Learn More. A Deactivate button will now be available for that particular service.
If you have both Jetpack and Sharedaddy enabled, this may be causing issues. Please try deactivating Sharedaddy from your plugins menu to see if this resolves the issue. Otherwise, could you post more details on what is broken?
Thanks,
Tim

In reply to: [plugin jetpack]Hi there,
The WordPress.com server-side application that Jetpack talks to requires /xmlrpc.php be available, as of now. The fix described at the URL you mention will not fix Jetpack currently.
