In reply to: Can you turn Dreamweaver site into wordpress.org site?cal? There’s no easy way to do it. You’re moving from a static dreamweaver built website to a dynamically driven site with content being stored in a database. IF you’re code savvy you can modify WordPress however, you’d like to meet your needs. I suggest finding a template you like that is close to your current design and working from that.

In reply to: Self hosted site running very slowlyGo through your plugins like esmi said and see if there’s one specific one that’s causing an issue. I also suggest using a caching plugin. I tried the link you provided and the site would not load at all for me. As your site’s traffic increases so does your over all load on the server, this is why a caching plugin is so important.
I even tried loading a cached copy of your website and that seemed to take forever to do as well. You can always use a site like:
It can help you evaluate why your page load speeds are suffering. I hope this helps!

In reply to: FTP username for wordpressYour site is a WordPress.com website not a self hosted one. You can install that template on your website. And you’ll need to post questions about your site in the WordPress.com forums as this forum is for self hosted WordPress installations. I hope this helps!

In reply to: Google indexes spam pages that dose not exist on my blog. You can request Google to remove pages from the index. I suggest you look at doing that as well as take a hard look at your hosting account to make sure it hasn’t been hacked and pages placed on the site. Here’s a link to an article about requesting Google to remove pages.
