Hi @danniee001
Thanks for reaching out.
You are correct that GA4 properties do not give average load time of pages as a metric. With GA4 you have to manually create a function that is then embedded within your site or within a GTM container and then loaded.
Sadly, this is outsides the scope of MonsterInsights support as it requires custom creation and management of a script, GTM container, tag, and custom event.
I’ve gone ahead and added a note internally for us to look at including a report like this in a future version of MonsterInsights.
When it comes to your data being lower, can you share your website address here, so I can check the tracking is working as expected?
Thanks,
TimHi @mohammedays
Thanks for contacting us!
We have a guide to setting up GA4 with MonsterInsights, it’s super quick. You can check out the link below.

Let us know if you run into any issues there!
Thanks,
TimHi @v0van
Thanks for reaching out. Sorry for the trouble here.
It seems that you have a firewall blocking the required domains for MonsterInsights and Google Analytics to authenticate and track correctly.
The following sites must be accessible for MonsterInsights to work:
- google-analytics.com
- MonsterInsights.com
- AwesomeMotive.com
- googleapis.com
- miusage.com
- google.com
For more information, please visit this page: https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/domains-that-must-be-accessible-for-tracking/
If your web hosting company has a firewall enabled, you’ll need to contact the web host to allow the domains.
Thanks,
Hi @gourav12
Sorry for the trouble here.
We’ve released a fix for this last night, you will need to either remove the version of ExactMetrics that you have installed, either via your admin panel or via FTP, or if you are able to update to the latest release.
For FTP, you’ll need to obtain or use your FTP credentials, which should be available on your hosting provider’s dashboard. You should be able to then rename or delete ExactMetrics from within your WordPress /plugins/ folder.
You can find further instructions within the link below.https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-properly-uninstall-a-wordpress-plugin/
If you have any questions, let us know.
Thanks,
TimHi @emiliejhance,
Sorry for the trouble here!
You’ll need to remove the plugin folder via FTP if you are unable to access the dashboard of your site. There are a couple of ways to do that, either you can reach out to your website hosting provider and have them remove the plugin folder for you, or you can follow the instructions within the link below.

TimHi @drachires,
Thanks for reaching out.
It looks like this error is being produced by the eCommerce addon for MonsterInsights. Can you please reach out to us via the support form within your MonsterInsights account?
That can be reached via https://www.monsterinsights.com/my-account/support/Due to WordPress.org forum guidelines, we are unable to support this within the public forums as it is a paid option.
Thanks,
TimHi @rustykins,
While we do recommend that you set the GA4 property as primary, if you prefer to have the UA property be primary for now and dual track to your GA4 you can do that till the sunset of UA on July 1st.
Just make sure that you have set the measurement protocol secret within the MonsterInsights settings. The link below goes through what is needed to set that. This step is only needed if you are dual tracking with GA4 set as secondary and not primary (we create this for you if GA4 is primary).
https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/how-to-create-your-measurement-protocol-api-secret-in-ga4/
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Thanks,
TimHi @rustykins,
As you’ve already made your GA4 property, to get tracking your within MonsterInsights, the only thing you’ll need to do is run through the set up wizard one more time. During that, select your new GA4 property, rather than your old UA one.
Once you have done that, you should be good to go! You can find more information and the steps for that below:
https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/how-to-set-up-dual-tracking/
Do note: your MonsterInsights reports may appear blank if you’ve not been tracking to that property previously. It can also take 24-48 hours for new GA4 properties to start showing data within both MonsterInsights and Google Analytics reports. No data is lost, there is just an initial processing delay on new properties.
If you have any questions, let us know!
Thanks,
TimHey @xdriver
I’m sorry you received that error. Google had an API outage with one of the endpoints that MonsterInsights uses. It’s extremely rare for one of their API routes to go down (for context, this route hasn’t gone down in many years (7+)). Unfortunately, we overlooked our plugin’s handling of it, we have patched that for the future. The Google API end point is also now back up and running.
Please make sure you are updated to the latest version of MonsterInsights.
Thank you
Hey @webvagabund,

We’ve updated MonsterInsights to handle this in the future. Please make sure you are updated to the latest version of MonsterInsights.
When it comes to deactivating plugins that are causing errors, it’s best to remove the folder via FTP rather than within the database, as there is much less potential for things to go wrong.
Just as an aside, MonsterInsights also support PHP8 if you are planning to upgrade.
Thank you

Hi @smerriman,
Did you by any chance use the GA4 setup assistant within Google Analytics when you created the GA4 property?
We have found there is a link that is created between the GA4 and UA property when using this particular method that can cause a duplicate pageview and other events to be created.
Can you please disable this with the following steps:
1. While logged in to your Google Analytics account, click Admin
2. Make sure you have selected the associated UA property within the Property column
3. Once on the UA property click GA4 Setup Assistant
4. Under Connected property, hit Disconnect
5. Click continue on the dialogue box that appears.https://a.supportally.com/eNOPC9
Once you’ve done that there should no longer be any duplicates produced for your page views.
Do let us know if you run into any further issues.
Thanks,
