Got it – I did that but it’s not really helpful. https://hi.switchy.io/dgu1
I see a 0 instead of having that refresh option.
Done. My caching is still super aggressive (it’s telling me to update plugins I updated before I purged the last time) so I’m not sure if it will be 100% definitive but please go for it.
Cache purged (hopefully) and Site Kit disabled. Let me know what you see.
It’s strange because when I had Site Kit disabled and everything else enabled beforehand, that was when the refresh didn’t occur. Maybe you’re still seeing a cached version of the site; I just purged it again.
Sorry, when I troubleshoot something that’s been driving me bonkers, it’s always mentally taxing so I try to do it when I can think and figure out what the issue might be. That and Cloudflare’s cache is very aggressive so my changes don’t appear to stick for me, necessitating purges for every little click I make. That includes when it runs in troubleshooting mode, making troubleshooting moot at some points and it’s hard to tell what’s what.
I’ve disabled Site Kit. I also posted in the CF7 group but didn’t get much traction there so I’ve bumped a few times for Takayuki to take a closer look at; I’m hoping the addition of the URL will get some movement.
Let me know if anything seems to come to mind here for you and I can purge cache as well if you need.
@takayukister since I can remove this URL later, I feel it’s fine to share this: https://hi.switchy.io/cwCZ – please let me know if you can see anything. I have disabled Site Kit to have it troubleshooted in this thread but I honestly don’t know which plugin is causing the issue.
hang on, haven’t had time to check yet!
Following up on this – not sure how’s the best way to move ahead.
I assume it’s too late for the URL to be private and only visible to logged-in users? I also hid the form for now since it also lives on the page. But I am happy to restore it for your review.
Okay, so I gave this a shot, but I noticed some unpredictable behavior (sometimes it refreshes, sometimes it doesn’t) on the live site, and at one point hitting the submit button loaded a page that just said 0, which could’ve been a forced refresh or something. I only had CF7 and Site Kit installed. I don’t really know how to best isolate this issue, but I was incognito and constantly purging my cache…
Hmm, I have a pretty basic GA setup; it wasn’t even completed and now I see a “set up conversion tracking” button that is green on the right hand side. I guess that means that wasn’t the culprit.
I’m not seeing how, when I click Troubleshoot on the Health Check plugin, it shows an Available Plugins tab. Can you show a screenshot of what I’m supposed to be seeing?
Hi @jamesosborne – I don’t even have the Ads service activated on Site Kit, so I’m not sure it’s a conversion tracking issue. What else could it be?
For whatever it’s worth, I disabled everything except the bare minimum (I kept Elementor, basically), and the issue only seemed to persist with Site Kit. I’m not sure what kind of conflict would exist with only the basics installed? I have a feeling this would still happen with a vanilla installation, but I don’t want to go that far just yet…
Submitted!
I will try to do this for you asap, but I am wondering if it is an extension of the GTM JS code (and thus indirectly tied to Site Kit; I tried another GTM plugin with a similar effect). I did the same thing as @jlugros though and that was also how I was able to isolate the issue.
