How does the checkout editor work. That documentation is not there. What would be a normal configuration? I don’t need a shipping address as we just have a downloadable product. So how does THAT work? I can’t find much on that.
A few videos would be a GREAT boon for this.
Works. Thanks.
Sent you the links and codes offline 2 days ago. Did you not get it?
Hmmm. If you are referring to the drop-down field association, the only selection allowed is Post Meta. No other drop-downs on that screen allow for “Content” or “Excerpt”.
Also, I added a First name, the field doesn’t show up on either the listing or the excerpts. Did I miss something?

http://quartzhillchamber.com/member-directory/?action=viewlistingsUm, I think you’ve got a problem here. I unchecked the “Show this value in excerpt view? Display this value in post excerpt view.” That would make sense as a control feature.
Rather than simply removing the Long Business name from each, instead the View Listings is now only showing one Listing, not all of them.
Please check this feature. If you need access/proof I’m willing to give it to you offline.
Furthermore, Previous is ALWAYS on the left, and Next is ALWAYS on the right.
Sorry to be difficult, but these are the standards out there. You have a good product, I like the way it works, mostly. There’s just a few tweaks needed to make this Kung Fu Panda “Awesomeness”.
Even if I change the text of “Older Entries” to “Previous”, that still is an untrue mechanism. For example if the first page is A1 to A9 business names, then Previous would definitely should NOT produce B1 to B9 (that is a reverse mechanism than what is expected–one should expect the NEXT button to yield B1 to B9. Right?
Maybe I’m misreading your statement. Can I control what displays in each listing view?
I agree with your premise. Why does the long description show up in the Listings list AND the individual expansion. Shouldn’t it appear ONLY in the expanded listing and NOT in the pure listing?
That would make for MUCH EASIER reading down the listing.
Thanks for the quick response. Here’s your info.
Ok, since I don’t see anyplace here for attachments, I’ve moved the screen shots here:
http://quartzhillchamber.com/?attachment_id=945
http://quartzhillchamber.com/?attachment_id=944Version 2.1.4.1
and here’s the link to the directory:
http://quartzhillchamber.com/member-directory/You’ll notice that the first page superficially looks good. But on the bottom it shows “Older Entries”, which brings up the next alphabetic list. That is a very strange and an unexpected behavior.
Thanks for your attention to this.

In reply to: change the permalink from default failsOK, so I tried this part and it worked. However, I now have a permalink structure that looks like this:
http://www.chea-elks.org/index.php/major-project/donations
Big Question: Will this hurt my SEO? Does Google fault me for this?
From the Codex:
… you can try PATHINFO permalinks; put index.php/ at the start of your custom permalink structure:/index.php/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
This option may not always work, especially in cases of WordPress running on IIS 6. To make this option work on IIS, add these 2 lines to a php.ini file and store that file in your webroot :
cgi.fix_pathinfo = 1
cgi.force_redirect = 0Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: change the permalink from default failsThanks esmi.
But, yikes, they’re a Windows based server. So their top guy is investigating an emulator: http://www.helicontech.com/isapi_rewrite/
I’ll keep everyone posted.

In reply to: meteor_slider fine in Firefox et.al., but bumps down in IEI also looked at Image Widget but that just manages single images, not the slider effect I was after.
Surely, people use this successfully in Internet Explorer, don’t they?
