• While I think TheCartPress could be a great eCommerce solution for me, the documentation I’ve been able to find so far has proved to be inadequate. I can usually get by figuring things out for myself, but I would rather see instructions for this powerful plugin. Looks great, but I’m not confident enough to take it on flying nearly blind. I’ll keep an eye out to see how this plugin progresses.

    Hi Lakersalex,

Please, let me know which deficiencies have you found in the documentation.

It’s true that the plugin is more than an ecommerce platform, it’s, also, an eCommerce framework. It has a lot of configuration options and it’s highly customisable.

    Best regards

How does the checkout editor work. That documentation is not there. What would be a normal configuration? I don’t need a shipping address as we just have a downloadable product. So how does THAT work? I can’t find much on that.

A few videos would be a GREAT boon for this.

    Hi,

You only have to drag and drop. From the activated area to the deactivated area.

    Best regards

Yes, I see that. Not sure which I wish to deactivate based on the requirements.

My goal is to allow a purchase of one or more of 9 downloadable products, then deliver those products in one or more emails which contain the links to webinars.

A customer will obviously have no shipping. The deactivation of the TCPBillingBox in the Checkout Editor removes the 2. BILLING module from the checkout (but I had to drag that and test…is there a one-for-one relationship to those modules and the checkout page? It’s not clear. Perhaps literally a statement “This controls the presence of the Checkout 2.BILLING module”.

BTW, lightning response, which does not go unnoticed Inigo!

    Hi,

I ony would deactivate Shipping Box, not billing box. In our extend site (http://extend.thecartpress.com/) We have 4 boxes and It’s a downloadable products store.

Visit the site and add a product in your cart. Then you could see our checkout.

    Best regards

    Hello,

I don’t know if I’m at the right place… I’ve tried to activate the “password protected product” but it doesn’t work. Can’t find any information in the docs. What happen? when activated, the system ask for registered name and password (the user one – not the product one) at the first step of the order???

    Someone can help ?

    Lucas
