In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] fatal error: Advman/Dal.php on line 83shred09:
I replicated my environment (php 4.4.8, wp2.7.1, german), and cannot get this error.
Can you describe what you were doing? (e.g. did this error happen when you clicked ‘activate’ on the plugins screen?). Did you have Adsense Manager installed? If so:
– What types of ads (e.g. Google Adsense, etc.) did you have loaded?
– Was Adsense Manager still installed and activated? Thanks,
ScottP.S. You can contact me via skype (switzer) if you want to debug real time…

What version of PHP and WordPress are you using? I will try to replicate here, and if that does not work, may need to look at your system directly.

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Uploadingyourinsidersreview:
You need to upload the entire folder to the wp-content/plugins directory, then enable the plugin. There is some pretty complete documentation here:

Glad you like it! Spread the word…

Again, many thanks for the feedback. I have used Tradedoubler in the past, and they are now on the list.
Please keep the feedback coming!

Thanks for pointing out these two obvious mistakes. They are fixed and I released v3.4.1 with the fix.

In reply to: Advertising Manager 3.3.9 Released!trophyhusband:
It looks like there is some directory (_vti_cnf?) which is making Advertising Manager break. Did you install just by unzipping into the plugins directory? How did this directory get into the advertising-manager/OX/Adnet directory?

3.3.18 is the latest version (e.g. 18 comes after 9).

Keep them coming!
I was going to implement zones (ala OpenX), but wanted to keep things SIMPLE. I think that if there is a simple way of displaying zones so that basic users understand (e.g. I just want to load my google adsense ad and thats it), I can implement zones fairly easily.
Your feedback would be great. Regarding adding functionality to the widgets – I am not very good with them – I am gearing up for a pretty major release in the next days (hours?), so after that I am all ears.
Here are some things on the list:
– pulling stats from ad networks (e.g. get revenue from google adsense)
– logging stats
– zones
– optimising (e.g. get Optimise via OpenX Market working)Other feature suggestions are very welcome!

Sorry to hear of your issues. When I checked out your system, Advertising Manager was working fine, and there was an issue with the Recent Items widget. That said, this could be a symptom, and not the cause (as you outline above).
If you find out that your issues above are related to Advertising Manager, please post your findings!
Good luck,
Scott
