Read in codex to set it to 666, which I did. I went to the permalink tab from the admin menu, and it gives me the error that my .htaccess is not writable. Should I set my wordpress directory to a certain chmod too?

That’s pretty cool but not really what I’m after. From the admin menu, I’d like to be able to click on a “quote-of-the-day” tab, and have it give me the ability to enter a quote. Then it would store it in a DB, and I could call it from the main page. It would store the quote so later you could see what you quoted on a certain day etc…maybe calling it “quote of the day” is the wrong way to describe it, as it would require you to update it whenever.

Well, I just tried sending via MMS, and that works perfect (aside from Cingular adding some “this is what an mms is….blahblah…blah…” text to the message. Picture works fine and everything. I’m on a mission to find something that can parse and post an email and pictures to the blog with WordPress/keitaimail. I would use Johns improved wp-mail, but it doesn’t create thumbnails and stuff yet.

I’ve got keitaimail up and running on 1.5, but when I send email from my SE s710 phone, all it pulls is the subject. Works fine when I send from my computer email as plain text, but if I send from the computer as HTML, it decodes it right, but then also shows the text with the html code.

I really wanna get this up and running from my SonyEricsson phone, but am having no luck.

I have no clue what it is, and I doubt my friends do either…but it’s on my site!

wtf, is this spam on the support forum? 😛

Did you make sure to run http://address.of.blog/wp-mail.php so that it would process the email? You have to set up a cronjob to run that so it will check the email. It doesn’t check without you making it.

Using 1.7 with a 1.5 version of WP, access via my Nokia 6230’s browser pulls up the entire main page…guess it’s not detected. So I just bookmarked WPurl/wp-mobile.php.

Is there some kind of “made for wap” post/upload page? As far as uploading goes, it’d be great if like MT I could select to “insert this code into new entry” and be able to edit the entry from there. (default WP just provides the code to pull up your picture). I hate typing in those URLs with symbols ha.

I got it up and running on 1.5. I also changed some of the script so that after you enter the ASIN number to put an object in your database, you can edit where the URL points, and also edit the img url. I liked the way this plugin works with amazon, but because I require different size images than the few per item that amazon offers, I wanted to be able to make it link to items at other websites, while linking to the purchase page of said item. For my cds I use deepdiscountCD, the DVDs I currently use DVD Empire, and books from B&N.

There we go. Got it fixed. I also added a 1px margin to the input fields when commenting.

I’m wondering if someone has written something that will let you keep a “quote of the day” displayed on your page, that keeps track of it in your wp db, so that after a year you can see what the quote of the day was the previous year etc…

I don’t understand why having the “/” before the image will allow the picture to show up on the permalink page, but not the regular page…..

…..and when removing the “/” from the start of the image link, it lets the picture show up on the regular page, but not the permalink.

Is there any way around this other than using the full url to the image?

THAT is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much Kevin. Now the thumbnail looks great, and is also 4kb smaller than the resized one.

Here’s an example of the same picture, resized with the method/utils that MT uses…

The thumbnail not only looks a lot better, but it’s even 4kb smaller.
