In reply to: 2.0 Safari Editor or quick tags?Wow, I don’t see that option anywhere on my profile page. Could it be because I’m using Firefox 1.5 on a mac? What’s up with that?

In reply to: Entry listing, but not on the main page? Help!okay, if I create a file in my wordpress root dir called news.php with this in it:
<?php
define('WP_USE_THEMES', true);
require('./wp/wp-blog-header.php');
?>It duplicates my index.php exactly. But I want this news.php file to use a template that I’ve put in my themes directory called news-tempate.php.
How can I get the news.php file to use the template I’ve created in my themes dir?
What I’m trying to do is have the indes page of the site use the page template and then have a page within the site be the one with the blog entries on it. (the news page)
Again, the site is here:
http://www.chipanddrifty.com/wpThanks for your help!

In reply to: Entry listing, but not on the main page? Help!No responses yet, so please allow me to clarify:
I’m trying to create a new template that is not the index page of the site, but behaves like an index page would. It will contain a content area that will list the blog entries. So I duplicated the index.php file, made some changes, saved it at news.php in the same directory, and now I can’t figure out how to access it. http://chipanddrifty.com/news.php doesn’t seem to work, even though http://chipanddrifty.com/index.php does.
Can someone help me out? I’m sure it’s an easy thing I’m overlooking.
Thanks!

In reply to: New 3 column Theme – RelaxationOtomo, great theme… I’m in the middle of modifying it a little. Just CSS stuff mostly. Check out my spin on it here. What started as a torn paper sort of look somehow ended up looking like paint splatters… now I don’t know what it looks like. Kinda mocha-ish, I guess. Still plenty to do.

In reply to: moving wp up one directoryyup, just login into to your WP control panel, click options and remove the /wp from “WordPress Address” and “Blog Address” then click Update Options.
Then use your FTP to move all of the things in your /wp directory into your root directory.
You’re done. Hit your domain and see your blog.

In reply to: Images for sidebar headers?Hey all, I found a work-around.. I was able to create styles for linkcat-1 and linkcat-2 and modify them accordingly.

In reply to: Images for sidebar headers?Hmm.. okay, I’m getting this to work with most of my sidebar sections, but the links one, which has logic in it to be able to have multiple sections within it is a bit more tricky.
How do get an image in there for “blogroll” and “links” and other link category titles?
