Yes! Directory > Manage form fields > Edit [the appropriate field] > Allow images in WYSIWYG editor?.
To be clear, though, “Allow images in WYSIWYG editor?” only seems to show as an option if the Field Association is selected as “Post Content”.
I know that does not address your Excerpt issue, but given that I found your post when trying to resolve images not showing in the main content section of my own listings, I thought it might be useful to add in case anyone else was experiencing the same issue π
I had the same issue of images not showing up in the textarea within the single listing view (where they were showing up before). I found that going to “Manage Form Field”, selecting the appropriate textarea feed to edit, and then ticking the box next to “Allow images in WYSIWYG editor?” sorted it.
Hi Akaye,
The developer accessed my WordPress setup, and was able to fix the issue by modifying several files. I believe these changes have now been incorporated in yesterday’s official update.
The website thumbnail pic now displays at the bottom and the featured image (logo) at the top of each listing – they were previously the other way round – but it doesn’t really matter. The main thing is that the listing is showing both, and the correct featured image is appearing in search!
Thank you to the BDP team for their excellent support with this!
Graham
Thank you! Have done that now. Graham
Thank you for the quick response!
I am using what I believe are the latest versions of both WP (4.9.8) and BD (5.3.4).
I’ve done the conflict test, and the same error occurs with plugins turned off or with the 2017 theme.
I’ve been using BD for ages without any issue, so I’m flummoxed at why this issue has suddenly started!
To clarify, the process I am doing within the listing editor is:
– Remove featured image (if one is there already)
– Set featured image, and select the image I want; it displays correctly under the “Featured image” header in the editor
– Click “Update” to apply the change
– The featured image I selected is no longer showing in the editor, and is replaced by the thumbnail one again πHope that makes sense!
And just to add, listings that were already created before this issue began happening still display my chosen featured image within the WP editor and when a user searches my site. All good!
However, if I then edit one of these existing listings and save it again, the featured image is overridden by the thumbnail pic, just like with the new listings.
Has a recent update to BD done something where it is no longer possible to set a featured image separate from the BD thumbnail?

In reply to: [Hueman] Featured Images inconsistencyHello! As a fellow Hueman user, if I understand your point correctly, then you *can* get the featured image to show at the top of a post – under the ‘Format’ menu on the right-hand side of the ‘Edit post’ page, you just need to select ‘Image’ instead of ‘Standard’.
On the other point, I agree – I’d also like pages to show the featured image in the search results in the same way that posts already do, but I’m yet to figure out a way to make that happen π
Clearing the cache worked for me when I had the same problem! Thanks π

In reply to: [Hueman] Display featured images for pages in searchThanks! I’m assuming this is a tweak to make in the child theme version of search.php? I’m not quite clear whether that’s an extra line to insert or an existing line to modify, though…
That’s good! Happy to wait until it’s released ‘officially’.
Great stuff! Happy to be helpful π

In reply to: [Hueman] Read More tag not appearingThis was the solution I was looking for too! Thank you.
Using the code above I have the ‘Read more’ text showing up, but it appears on a separate line after the excerpt. Is there a way to make it appear after the excerpt but on the same line?
