Ideally when you install and activate Facebook for WooCommerce, then connect to your Business Manager, page, ad accounts, catalog, the pixel will be activated, and literally nothing else you need to do.

Yes, that’s correct.
The product gallery did start working again, but it opens the image in a light box. This is acceptable, but the ideal would be that when they click the image it becomes the ‘main’ image.
Since the gallery images are working again, my problem is technically solved. If it’s possible to do it that way I described above, I’d love to know how!

I checked the product page you mentioned, and yes the thumbnail when clicked popping out in a light box. I think that’s related to the theme you’re using.
I have a demo product page using Storefront theme, and when I click the variation thumbnail, it changes the main product picture as well, please check it here.
Not sure if that’s what you want. If yes, you might want to either change your theme to Storefront, or contact the developer of your existing theme about the issue, if you want to keep using it.

Unfortunately, there is no other way. Because it’s not a built-in feature in the WooCommerce core plugin. So this has to be either using a custom plugin or custom coding, as mentioned above.

Since adding the Facebook for Woocommerce plugin I can no longer add additional images to the products. If I deactivate the plugin I can add the images but as soon as I reactivate it the issue occurs.
That’s really odd!
This kind of issue is usually caused by a conflict.
Could you please try to do the following:
- Change your theme to Storefront
- Test if you can add additional images to your product on the product edit screen if the issue is still there. Please keep Storefront active, then move to the next step
- Deactivate all other plugins except WooCommerce and Facebook for WooCommerce, please try again if you can now add more images.

1) I would recommend you to run through the Troubleshooting guide here: Troubleshooting Copy to clipboard > Apple Pay buttons do not appear at any location
2) And also please make sure that the Payment Request Button is enabled.

I have added the WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway plug-in, activated it, and connected it to our Paypal. I’m hopeful this will fix the issue but will be back here again if it does not. Thank you.
Glad that you have got a temporarily solution.
But in regards to the built-in PayPal Standard in WooCommerce, the issue that you’re facing usually relates to the IPN problem (Instant Payment Notifications).
A full guide to troubleshoot this kind of issue is available here on our website: Debugging IPN issues.
1) Make sure the email address here WooCommerce > Settings > Payment > PayPal Standard > Receiver email matches your PayPal primary email address.
2) Check your server has support for fsockopen
3) Check if your server has a firewall

Thanks for your report and I understand it’s a bit unpleasant experience.
There have been a few users reporting the same issue, and I’ve received a confirmation from the developers that yes this error notification is a bit confusing, too.
This error is essentially related to the Cart and Checkout block and it should not show unless the Cart and Checkout block is used.
Our developers are going to improve this error notification by making it clear that this error is related to the Cart and Checkout blocks and it will not show unless WooCommerce Blocks installed (where Cart and Checkout blocks is part of the plugin).
At the moment, you don’t have to worry about it as it only affects Cart & Checkout blocks from the WooCommerce Blocks plugin.
Hopefully, the fix will be up soon to resolve this.

Unfortunately, for issues related to the shop, collections, catalog items being rejected by Facebook, it’s beyond our support coverated.
For that case, you will need to contact Facebook to find out the reason behind their decision.

I checked the two screenshots you shared.
So in Events Manager you checked there are Purchase events, but in your Ads Manager, under column Purchase, there is no count of purchases.
This could be because the pixel you’re using in the campaign is different to that of that one that’s installed / connected on your website.
Could you please go to your campaign in Ads Manager and then click on that active ads (Campaigns > Adset > Ads) — go into the inside the adsets and click an active ads inside?
Then please check in the Tracking section, and the pixel ID used here should match the one that’s active on your website.

What I wanted to ask is what happens when an item goes out of stock? Does the listings on Business Manager recognise this and stop showing them in ads?
Do I need to have any particular settings active in Woo such as ‘Hide out of stock items’?
