    Hi there @infinitee

Thanks for doing the steps recommended by my colleagues.

I checked from your status report, you have WP cron disabled/not available:

    WP Cron: –

Could you please check with your host to ensure this is enabled?

The plugin relies on cron to fetch service schemas. So it’s very essential to be available and working.

Let me know how it goes when you have a chat with your host and keep us in the loop!

    Hi there @snirchum

Thanks for sharing the error log:

In the wp–>facebook log I got this message:
“An FBE installation does not exist for the business with ID chumbani or you do not have permission to see it”.

That is clear that you don’t have a proper install here. So I’d like to get more information first so we can offer accurate troubleshooting steps later on.

    Next Steps

    • Please let me know what is version of Facebook for WooCommerce installed on your website?
    • Please navigate to this page: Marketing > Facebook > Connection and click Manage Connection
    • If you’re connected to Facebook, you’ll be redirected to Facebook. Could you please take a screenshot of the page? The page will look like this below:

      https://d.pr/i/BJjCCi

I recommend https://snipboard.io for sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply.

      Look forward to your reply!

    Hi @metuza

Please kindly follow the suggestion from John.

And let us know if the issue is resolved.

Apart from that you might want to clear your WooCommerce transient data as well before making a force resync here: Marketing > Facebook > Product sync

    Hi @gentlemako

Please kindly follow the suggested steps.

I’ll go ahead to close this thread as resolved.

Feel free to create a new forum thread if you have any other questions at all!

    Hi there @erostad

Please advise if you have created a ticket directly on WooCommerce.com website as suggested before.

    Look forward to your reply

    Hi there @dagurdagsson

    Thanks for your question!

When I go into Commerce manager and want to create a set I am presented with the option of using categories as a filter. Some of these categories I recognize from my WooCommerce setup and some of them I don´t. Curiously the sync process has been able, in some cases, combinations have been created, that is products that have been configured in 2 Categories are displayed as for example “101 Copenhagen, Instagram”. In the Commerce Manager they are presented as one, although they are clearly 2 categories.

It’s expected that you most possibly don’t recognize them because Facebook for WooCommerce doesn’t sync WooCommerce Categories by default — I will explain later.

Facebook for WooCommerce instead using the Google Product Category, reference to Facebook API on that is here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/marketing-api/catalog/guides/product-categories/#google-prod-cat

    Question 1:
Having established the fact that categories were, maybe not at present, being synced how to I sync all of my categories to the Commerce Manager (Shops)?

Some newer categories (1 month old) have been transferred but not all the products are linked in the Commerce Manager. Some categories that I have had for a really long time don´t seem the have been transferred.

Again, I’d like to clarify that WooCommerce Categories aren’t sync to Facebook catalog, the category uses in Facebook catalog is based on Google Product Category as mentioned previously.

To sync WooCommerce Categories into your Facebook Catalog, you will need to use Product Sets.

Here is the series of steps you need to take:

    • Navigate to Marketing > Facebook > Product Sets
    • This is where you will create a product set in Facebook Catalog and sync that to WooCommerce Categories, then select the corresponding WooCommerce Category you want to associate that product set with
    • Then possibly you need to manually sync things again, navigate to Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync, then click Sync products. Wait a bit, the new product sets will appear in your Facebook Catalog under “Sets”.

    Question 2:
I see a category called 543523 in my Commerce Manager. I found that odd. I also found it odd that it linked 4 products that really aren’t fully linked together through categories in WooCommerce. That is, not all of them are in the same category.
However, and this is where it turns into something interesting, this group of 4 products contains 2 products that have it in common that they are the only 2 products I have tried to define with a “Google Product Category” and the category was “Records & LPs”

A quick lookup for that online
    543523 – Media > Music & Sound Recordings > Records & LPs

Voila. My mysterious category name is the google product category number. And that’s like “OK” if products that have not been defined as that in WooCommerce wouldn’t appear in it.

You’re correct, the plugin uses Google Product Category as I mentioned before.

So my question is: Does this plugin support google product categories and do you guys have any idea of why my configuration of those resulted in my having a category definition with the name 543523

Indeed, the plugin supports and uses Google Product Category system to sync WooCommerce store products to Facebook Catalog.

    Google Product Category

In regards to the use of Google Product Category, you can configure what default category your products likely match to a Google Product Category by going to Marketing > Facebook > Product sync, then select the appropriate category you think most match your store products:

    Link to image: https://d.pr/i/jlJQyc

If you don’t set the default Google Category here globally, you can set on the product level by going to the Facebook tab, if you’re having a simple product (not variable product), then adjust the category accordingly:

    I hope that helps!

    Hi @dsmarket

Thanks for sharing the Status Report.

If you confirmed that two steps to troubleshoot were done, I’d suggest that you do a conflict test.

Please follow all the steps below to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin conflict:

    1. Temporarily switch your theme back to the Storefront or TwentyNinteen Theme and test for the issue, if you have an Apple device, check if the button is there.

    2. If the issue persists, disable all plugins except for WooCommerce.

    3. Test to see if the issue has been resolved.

    4. If that resolves the issue, then one-by-one you can switch back your theme and re-enable your plugins, testing in between, until you find the one causing the conflict.

If doing this on your live site is not possible, you can create a duplicate site. We suggest using WP Staging if your hosting provider does not offer a staging server as an option.

For more details on how to do Conflict Test, you can refer to this guide: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Great, thank you for your help!

    You’re very much welcome!

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to create a new support thread 🙂

I’ll go ahead mark this one as resolved.

    Have a great day!

    Hi there @hardsksk21

I just completed a test on my own website, here is the series of steps I’ve done:

    The last important step:

Go to Marketing > Facebook > Product sync, click Sync products

Voila! The products are now in INR currency in my Facebook catalog!

    https://d.pr/i/LLRNaK
    Link to image: https://d.pr/i/LLRNaK

You might want to redo the steps and let me know if that works.

    Hi @stanimart

Apologies for taking ages to get back to you.

activating the plugin breaks the edit product page in the wordpress admin — as soon as the plugin updated, adding new product or editing existing product gave a 500 server error.

This kind of error is usually caused by a conflict on your website.

Please follow all the steps below to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin:

    1. Temporarily switch your theme back to the Storefront or TwentyNinteen Theme and test for the issue

    2. If the issue persists, disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and Facebook for WooCommerce.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi @mugwumpr

I’d suggest you create another forum thread.

Also, please try to update your plugin to the latest. In addition to that, when you create a new product, make sure you choose Do not sync before hitting the save draft/update button in the Product Edit screen.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi there @cearls

Apologies for taking ages to get back to you!

I was able to connect with the “Manage your business” option enabled.

However, the product sync still isn’t working. Products are synced, but prices are $0 and there are no photos.

Ah I see this kind of issue is usually caused by an interrupted sync attempt because the plugin can’t complete the sync due to limited resources.

I found from your status report, that WP Cron isn’t enabled, can you please enable that? You might want to contact your host to do that.

Secondly, your plugin version is outdated already, could you please update to the latest version?

There has been a lot of improvements that our developers have done, so it’s really recommended to update it to the latest version to avoid issues.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to let us know!

    Hi @basselenab

I saw from your log there is some reference to google_product_category_fields, this is a part of the Google Product Category setting in Facebook for WooCommerce.

As far as I am aware there has been some fixes and enhancement related to that between version 2.4.0 – 2.4.1, if you could see the changelog here.

Therefore I strongly recommend you to update to the latest version of the plugin!

    Hi @kathiklaudel

May I know if the two catalogs belong to the same Business Manager?

During the connection process with Facebook for WooCommerce, you should select a Business Manager, Facebook Page, IG account (if it’s eligible), Catalog, please choose a catalog that you want to use as the connection / the plugin only supports one catalog to be connected to.

    Please let me know!

    Hi there,

Thanks … so I have probably “tweeted” these as noting was working and there where x2 system users … sorry. How do I get things back to their original state … is there a config overview? Delete plugin and reinstall?

sorry that is tweeked (ie altered) not tweeted

It’s been quite some time since your last post, so I’d suggest removing the old WooCommerce Integration and then try a new connection with the latest version of the plugin.

    Next Steps

    FIRST PART:

    https://d.pr/i/b20NbB
    Link to image: https://d.pr/i/b20NbB

It will finally get removed completely so you can make a new integration:

    https://d.pr/i/24P3ke
    Link to image: https://d.pr/i/24P3ke

    SECOND PART:

    • Please deactivate the plugin and then delete it
    • Then install the latest version of the plugin
    • And then access your phpMyAdmin, we’re going to manually remove the database left over that’s not yet removed after the deletion.
    • Please make sure that you create a full database backup before performing this step.
    • Click on wp_options table and then search for wc_facebook_, once found, please select them and delete them.

Below is the screencast of the process:

    https://d.pr/i/TcWhlr
    Link to image: https://d.pr/i/TcWhlr

    THIRD PART:

    • Once the above steps are done. Please install Facebook for WooCommerce again, and activate it.
    • Navigate to Marketing > Facebook, click Get Started.
    • During the process of reconnecting back to Facebook, please make sure to unselect Instagram shopping, as from my experience, it will trigger an error “Something went wrong”, resulting in an unsuccessful setup, especially when you don’t have an eligible Instagram account for Instagram Shop, or outside the United States:

Please do the above steps, and let me know how it goes.
