  • Hi there @himalayanmade

    Thanks for your question!

    Hello there,

I just sync my products with facebook plug in. Until here it worked fine except that my product have variant and i didn’t use the fiel “use parent image” so all my product showed the first image variant and not the Parent Image on my facebook shop.

I fix this using on all my product on woocommerce the “Use Parent image” option.

And here start the problem, my variant on my website now show the parent image ans no more the variant image. Even if i go back and reuse “use variant image” it’s only showing the parent image. Result, when you click on my variant on this page for exemple: https://himalayan-made.fr/produit/sac-banane-ethique-muskan-curry/
you will have the parent image and not the variant in full size…. what the hell

What I understood here is that previously you selected Use variation image for the Facebook product image setting:

    Link to image: https://d.pr/UlMwtj

But then you changed it to Use parent image.

Now you want to change it back to using the variation image but the parent image is still kept.

    The solution

I think this is related to caching issue on your website, so please do the following:

    1) Clear your cache, if you use any caching plugin, and disable it temporarily.

    2) Clear WooCommerce transient data by going to this section: WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > Tools > WooCommerce transients > Click – Clear Transients (Button on right)

Then please to make the update changing back to Use variation image, and click Update.

    For your second question:

More interesting is that some of my product didn’t sync during the first sync and i update them with the “Use Parent Image” check in. They did sync good, it’s perfect on my facebook shop and perfect on my website. You can have a look here: https://himalayan-made.fr/produit/sac-dos-ecologique-biruwa-ebene/

    That is really strange.

Please check your WooCommerce Status: WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > System Status, and make sure that PHP time limit is set to minimum 300.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi there @nhch

Thanks for the reply. Yes that works, but with 6800 products this is not possible. Is there another workaround or code change option?

    Glad that it works!

But again yes I agree that’s not really feasible to do that way for 6800 products.

I am afraid we’re not able to provide a workaround in regards to the custom setup previously done by our users.

However, I’d suggest you to contact WooCommerce experts that might be able to help you.

Certainly, that’s not really what you wanted to hear 🙁

But I trust that points you in the right direction!

    Hi there @karollis3

Yes i did it. I don’t find any conflict. Now all product is without duplicate. events manager works good.

That’s awesome, I am happy that things are working as expected.

But the problem is that i can’t use brand column from product in FB catalog

    That’s a bummer!

As said before, we’ve reported this and our devs have confirmed it as a bug. We’re working on the fix, but we can’t give any timeline where this fix would come out..

    Hi there @glittergirlau

    Thanks for your question!

I have wholesale and new products no yet released yet, i have added the categories in the “hidden” section of the plugin, but they still continue to sync over to the facebook shop.

Could you please clarify where you added the categories in the hidden section of the plugin?

Please try to take the screenshot of that section, and share with us.

I recommend https://snipboard.io for sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply.

    Look forward to your reply.

    Hi there @dorichee

    Thanks for your question.

A mismatch of pricing could be that a product sync to update the price of the product doesn’t work well.

Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply.

    Look forward to your reply.

    Hi there @cameronalderton

Thanks for contacting us and I hope you’re well!

The Fb purchase event is not firing on my Woocommerce order-received page.

I have the plugin on my site with the latest version 2.6.0, when testing I saw the correct purchase event fired on the order page, please see attached screenshot:

    Link to image: https://d.pr/i/wqKG6k

I think there might have been some conflict in your site, could you please do a conflict test and then make a test purchase? You can create a very low value product and make sure the payment gateway is on test mode.

Please follow all the steps below to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin:

    1. Temporarily switch your theme back to the Storefront or TwentyNinteen Theme and test for the issue

    2. Disable all caching plugins, and test if the issue is resolved.

    3. If the issue persists, disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and Facebook WooCommerce.

    4. Test to see if the issue has been resolved.

    5. If that resolves the issue, then one-by-one you can switch back your theme and re-enable your plugins, testing in between, until you find the one causing the conflict.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi there @tahliasmasks

Thanks for sharing your communication with Facebook:

I received this from Facebook support “After a careful review, we found that the Facebook catalog contains different data than your WooCommerce catalog, we kindly advise that you contact WooCommerce and request that they send Facebook the most up-to-date catalog data. There can sometimes be a delay between editing your WooCommerce catalog and WooCommerce sending that updated data to Facebook. The Facebook system only displays the data it receives, so, if there are any discrepancies between the catalogs, this would indicate that Facebook hasn’t yet received the updated data and it would be best to contact WooCommerce to get that issue resolved and the updates sent to Facebook.

I think this indicates that there are more than 1 catalog, and your Facebook for WooCommerce is connected to Z catalog, and you check Y catalog, as the plugin pushes the data to Z catalog, you won’t see in Y catalog.

To investigate further, please create a ticket with us directly.

Please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

    Hi there @rayeason

`I deleted all the instances of facebook in both the name and value but am receiving an error of:

    Something went wrong.
This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.

    https://photos.app.goo.gl/qZo6xBnvcbMNEtnj9`

    That’s not good.

It seems that we need to troubleshoot further, in order for us to do so and with a greater flexibility when sharing information between us, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

    Hi there,

`Hi @sohanhossain, I’ve had a read but the solution seems to be to wait for the team to wait while the devs look into it?

I also don’t have any API integration with Facebook as the other user does, so I can’t use the same temporary solution of disabling the pixel.

For the capability to disable both pixel and conversion API, yes that should be waiting our developers.

I think I might just try using that code snippet plugin and adding the code Facebook suggested then see if the error goes away.

That sounds like a good plan!

Let me know how it goes. Otherwise, as temporary workaround, at least you might want to disable the pixel.

Disabling the pixel could help resolve the issue since only server to server conversion events are sent to Facebook (no deduplication needed).

Thanks for we’re going to respond to your newly created ticket number: 4073830

We’ve now closed this thread and continue from there!

    Hi there @webktk00

We’re good and I hope you’re well too!

`Please, could the staff tell me with this happens with my products? I’ve used facebook for divi to set it up.

All the product pages are made with Divi. If I click on details, this is how it shows. the same in instagram https://ibb.co/y5zKh8Y

there is no description, but Divi code :/`

I checked the screenshot, and yes it’s just all text.

Not sure if you built the product pages with Divi, but Facebook for WooCommerce should not interfere with it.

Could you please share the product URL and also take the screenshot of the product editor screen page (backend), we’d like to check further.

    Look forward to your reply.

    Hi there @lars3107

Thanks for sharing the Status report.

Uncaught ReferenceError: fbq is not defined
    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> ((index):1786)

It seems that the pixel code is blocked by some scripts.

Most possibly, the following plugin does that:

    Borlabs Cookie - Cookie Opt-in: version: 2.2.27

Could you please try to disable it and then clear your cache and check again with Facebook pixel helper chrome addon if then Facebook pixel is loaded correctly?

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi there @nhch

    Thanks for your question!

The plugin syncs the articles, but there are no images displayed. The images in the shop are at a remote location of another comapny. Is that an issue perhaps en if so how can I resolve this?

First of all, glad that plugin syncs your products.

Secondly, indeed it seems that because the image is taken from a separate page, the synced product doesn’t display a proper image on Facebook catalog.

I checked the product page: https://stylemeister.nl/product/dsquared2-dq0258/

When I did right click on the product image, the image URL is here: https://media.bdroppy.com/storage-foto/prod/c2d763a0-a8fd-11eb-8a9a-f1c3e2cbd2f6.jpg

Could you please save this image to your local computer? After that, please delete the product meta data, here is how to do that: https://d.pr/1A7ygo

And then please replace the product image by uploading the new image from your computer, and click Update.

Once that’s done, please click on the newly generated Facebook ID, and see if the image is now loaded correctly.

    I hope that helps.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi there @cameronalderton

    Thanks for your report!

Purchase pixel events are actually recorded, below is an example of my test site recording the purchase event.

    Link to image: https://d.pr/wqKG6k

To ensure that the plugin records the Facebook pixel events, please do the following:

    – Make sure only one plugin that handles Facebook pixel
    – Also please make sure no hard code script added for Facebook pixel
    – Also please make sure that any caching plugins used on your site don’t cache the checkout page

Feel free to a support forum post, if you would like us to investigate and help resolve your pixel issue!

    Hi there @weteam

I hope you’re well and thanks for your report!

Even so, now there are either products with no sale price, or product whose sale price is the same as the regular price. I ve resynced the products at least 3 times manually and nothing changes. Please advise

Currently, there is an open bug report where Regular price is set as sale price in Facebook catalog when you set only regular price on your WooCommerce store.

We’re still working on it, so please monitor our next updates, hopefully the fix will be released soon.
