Hi All,
I’m submitting an elance contract to get this issue fixed. Obviously, this costs money. Is anyone else in a situation where they need more than one gallery per page and therefore would benefit from seeing this resolved?
If so, would anyone like to donate a small amount toward getting this working? Here is the job: https://www.elance.com/j/jquery-javascript-knowledge-needed-debug-wordpress-plugin/28543270/?backurl=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZWxhbmNlLmNvbS9yL2pvYnMvcC0y
Cheers,
Sam
Thanks for your insight in to the issue thus far – I really appreciate it! Will post again if I can work it out π
Hopefully others have a similar issue and are little more experienced in jquery/javascript?
Cheers π
Hi istarnet,
http://sammond.com.au/ki/category/scarves-wraps/
You’ll notice 3 thumbs appear for each gallery. However, the top gallery should actually have 4. It seems that the javascript will set the number of thumbs from the gallery with the least amount of images.
Hope this makes sense. Thanks for taking a look.
Hi istarnet,
the global variables scenario sounds very likely. The issue i’m experiencing is with the thumbnails, though. How does having landscape slideshows resolve this?
would like this feature also…
it’s because there is another css value for .nav-next in the default wordpress css.
U need to change the .nav-next values in the plugin to something else. See this post

Using templates is the answer to everything! Info on templates can be found here.
The template I made in the end is here:
<?php /** Template Page for the gallery overview Follow variables are useable : $gallery : Contain all about the gallery $images : Contain all images, path, title $pagination : Contain the pagination content You can check the content when you insert the tag <?php var_dump($variable) ?> If you would like to show the timestamp of the image ,you can use <?php echo $exif['created_timestamp'] ?> **/ ?> <?php if (!defined ('ABSPATH')) die ('No direct access allowed'); ?><?php if (!empty ($gallery)) : ?> <div class="ngg-galleryoverview" id="<?php echo $gallery->anchor ?>"> <!-- Thumbnails --> <?php foreach ( $images as $image ) : ?> <a href="<?php echo $image->imageURL ?>" title="<?php echo $image->description ?>" <?php echo $image->thumbcode ?> > <div><?php echo $image->description ?></div> </a> <?php if ( $image->hidden ) continue; ?> <?php if ( $gallery->columns > 0 && ++$i % $gallery->columns == 0 ) { ?> <br style="clear: both" /> <?php } ?> <?php endforeach; ?> <!-- Pagination --> <?php echo $pagination ?> </div> <?php endif; ?>That’s the whole file so you can copy it in and see what it does! Hope this helps some others out there.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] display as thickbox directlyit may be – my knowledge of NGG modification is very limited so I have tried to make sense of the code to no avail. I know that via the “Effects” tab you can change the effect for when an image is clicked on but for that to apply the gallery is already up and displaying.
Essentially i’m looking to add a thickbox or lighbox call to the shortcode [nggallery id=3] and have it display the first, with all images from that gallery ready to cycle through….

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] display as thickbox directlyHave you got something like ‘n example?
not on the current site, a great example is the way facebook displays images now. Rather than taking you to a different page with all the pics lined up on it, a thickbox overlay pops up and allows you to click through the images one by one….
