In reply to: Prezi in WPI attached a link to the post, but I just found a wonderful plug in that does the job for me. Below if anyone finds it useful.

I swear most of the times I post in a forum, no matter how long I’ve been looking, I find the answer a few minutes after! Thanks anyway Andrew.

In reply to: Add all sites to "My Sites"That looks promising! I’ll have a play with that thanks very much.

In reply to: Add all sites to "My Sites"In this sense yes.
Everyone is automatically added through Active Directory, I just need a way of assigning rights on mass really.

In reply to: Add all sites to "My Sites"So I’d have to go through each one in turn?
Just there’s over 40 😛 not the end of the world, but as time goes on there’ll be more and more obviously and if we get any more new teachers it’s going to be a right pain

In reply to: Changing Header Image ErrorSorry I solved it just as I left work and didn’t get a chance to post.
Something was wrong in my .htaccess that threw it off (which is strange because I’m sure nothing has changed).Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)……….it’s working :S I’m not sure what I’ve done but all the posts seem to now be commentable I’m not usre if it was a plug in or something that I changed on the default settings if I figure it out I’ll repost and let everyone know.

In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)You’ll have to bare with me as I’ll have to make a dumby one that does the same thing which im assuming it will do if I grab a kid and get their password. I can’t really show you their current ones as it has coursework and such on and need to check theirs no photos of them or anything like that (sorry to be so awkward!)

In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)Sorry I meant reinstall the themes.
As stated Im using the 2010 and 2011 themes (default ones)

In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)Would it be worth reinstalling the plug-ins? Assuming you can reinstall them with them being defaults?

In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)Yep as above, its the Active Directory Integration although I mgiht give yours a try instead to see if that works so you have got soemthing out of it 😛
Sorry I’ve made a few posts here and there but relatively new to all this!
I’ve tried it with both enabled and disabled as still no luck, as for the domain mapping…what is it? xD

In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)Active Directory Integration by Christoph Steindorff this is also the plug in that syncs my account
Yeah I checked and double triple checked they were as if it turned out to be that I would have had to faceplant the table 😛
Thanks for all your help guys, I do like to bring odd problems 😛

In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)From all I can tell WordPress has no way of knowing if they are students or teachers. Their accounts are pulled in from AD just for the sake of username and password. I can’t see any difference in permissions but I’m fairly new to wordpress so if theirs anywhere that’s less obvious to check I’ll happily do so.
They’re able to create their own sites without any moderation of any kind so I would think they would be able to allow coments.

In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)Well I’ve made about 2/3 sites on my own account, and then a couple on the administrator they were fine, I logged in as another teacher to test and all commenting worked fine on both 2010/2011 themes.
If a student does it then for some reason the comment box just doesn’t appear.
I can try disabling plugins a bit later, I’m jsut really loath to do it as it will itnerupt if they’re working on it, and the active directory integration seems to be a bit touchy if you change it xD

In reply to: No Comment Box Sometimes (confused!)Tried it on a few and it didn’t make a difference, the box itself was actually checked anyway but tried unticking then reticking it. I don’t have oen that actually says “Enable Comment Box” I’m guessing it’s just the “comment” one or am I missing something?
Thanks very much
