In reply to: [BruteProtect] BruteProtect Dashboard not availableHello,
This issue usually means one of two things. a) your api key somehow got mixed up, or b) your site is having trouble connecting to our api.can you both post URLs to the sites that are giving you trouble?
Thanks.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Playing with the brute_kill_login-hookBerny,
Good catch with the http-status. We’ll be adding that into our next version.
Regarding the brute_kill_login hook: we run that early for performance reasons. i realize that makes the hook useless for other plugins, but it is not something we want to change.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Any way to control if IP is in your database?Once an IP gets into our database, it will remain there for about an hour. There is no way to remove it.
You can use the whitelisting feature on the settings page to ensure that an IP never gets into our database.

Thanks for the great suggestions. I’ll run them by our team, and see if we can include them in the next version.

If you uncheck the box for Remote Updating, the brute force protection will still work.

It looks like the issue was fixed. Did you ever find out what caused it?

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Updating site plugins from the Brute Protect dashboardNow that you’ve installed and configured BruteProtect, each site already has its own API key. To add the site to your my.bruteprotect.com dashboard, you’ll have to log into each site individually. I hope that answers your question.
In regards to slow updating on your plugins, it appears that your site is connecting to our API just fine, so that’s not the problem.
Are you clicking the ‘Update All’ button? Or are you updating plugins individually?

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Error after trying to activate BP…Paul,
It is possible that your site is having troubles connecting to our API.
Can you try updating to the latest version of BruteProtect, and clicking the debug link at the bottom of the BruteProtect configuration page in your WordPress dashboard. Then click “Send Report”.
Let me know we you’ve sent it, and I’ll see if there is any insight.
Thanks
