In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Blurred ThumbnailsHey there!
The Regenerate Thumbnails plugin uses the WordPress functions for image resize.
I dug into that trying to figure out a way to override the quality options if someone needs some “special” quality, but unfortunately I didn’t find any filter for that.
The WordPress part that runs it is here:
In this case, I’d recommend you to try the https://jetpack.com/support/site-accelerator/ to see if it works better for you.

In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Remove unwanted image sizesHey @okoth1!
Please, try using the
intermediate_image_sizesfilter instead. I believe this will help you.About the third question, I’d recommend you use the
Delete thumbnail files for old unregistered sizes in order to free up server space. This may result in broken images in your posts and pages.option from the plugin. It’ll avoid the risk to remove accidentally something you are using and it will be easier. πForum: Plugins

In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Not regenerating, tried everythingHi @aeim !
I created a new site with
Smart Image Resizer/Regenerate Thumbnails. And I ran the regenerate thumbnails as mentioned in theSmart Image Resizerdocumentation, and it worked well. Could you send us more details about the issue that is happening to you?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Stuck on LoadingHey @mcstevem !
One of the issues that you see in your console is about the
https. If you have an SSL/TLS certificate in your site, please try to access the wp-admin > Settings > General, and make sure the fields “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” starts withhttps://. If you don’t have a certificate, update both to start withhttp://. But I don’t think it’s the root cause of the problem. There is an issue related to the
wpvariable from the WordPress that is not found. I’d recommend you to try temporarily deactivate other plugins and change your theme to another one, and test if it works. Maybe something is not still compatible with the WP 5.5, causing some issues with the scripts.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Image SizeHey @althafa!
The Regenerate Thumbnails has the purpose to regenerate your images in the correct size after changing your image size configurations. To change the images size, you can change it directly in Settings β Media, for example. After that, you can use the Regenerate Thumbnails to update your current images to the correct size.
You can see more details in the plugin page: https://br.wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Problem with API / CORSHey @sergio79 !
I configured a new site trying to reproduce it, but I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue. Researching more to see if I find other people with the same issue to get some clues, I found these topic: https://wpml.org/it/forums/topic/problema-con-regenerate-thumbnails/
Considering the issue, dates and name, I believe it’s you, right? π
Did you already fix the issue? If not, I have and idea of what you could test.
Go to the Settings > General, and check if the field “WordPress Address (URL)” is how you expect (without the www, if I understood correctly). If the WPML people identify that the problem is not there and it doesn’t fix your problem, feel free to contact us again.
Hey @flamner!
It is difficult to know what may be happening. But I could recommend you deactivate other plugins and set a default theme. Add a new image to a new Post, and confirm if it worked.
If it works, I recommend reactivating the plugins and theme by steps, repeating the tests to understand what can be causing the issue. I hope that you can figure out what’s happening with these tests.

In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Won’t Finish – All Done in .9 Seconds MessageHi @borrowedbites !
Not sure what can be happening for you. Does something appear for you under “Regeneration Log”? Is there some warning?
And could you send us more details, like a step by step that you are following to regenerate your thumbnails? Some screenshots also could be useful.
For now, if you have access to the command-line in your server, as a workaround you could try to regenerate using this WP-CLI command: https://developer.wordpress.org/cli/commands/media/regenerate/

In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] I’m not able to regenerate thumbnailsHey @jeremymh !
Yes, @mossifer is right. Thank you!
You need to have the files on disk, so it will work. If you’re interested, you can see a related topic here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-able-to-regenerate-thumbnails-aws-s3/
