In reply to: admin panel not workingThere seems to be a problem with GoDaddy’s free account and WP 2.8. I have used GD free account with no problem until WP2.8. The problem is the admin not the front end. Some themes will not work with the GD free accounts new or old WP. Ad’s over run into the web pages.

In reply to: Help no styling after serve switchI have had WP running on GD free just fine until 2.8. Front end of WP is fine but back end (adimn) is messed up after 2.8 upgrade. In saying that some themes do not display properly on the GD free site. The ads will over run some themes.

In reply to: WP 2.8 Admin not showing properI have deleted all files and folders and database. Reloaded 2.8.4 and new database. Check all files and permissions on all files and folders. All right. Only one other thing, cimincr says he is using FREE Godaddy so is this site. Yeah it is a test site that I test drive new WP thing on before trying them on a main site. Anybody using Free GD with success with 2.8 adimn only? Front end is good.

In reply to: WP 2.8 Admin not showing properThe problem happen when 2.8 was first released. I auto updated and what every happen did it then. I have tried every thing including delete all files and folders and install 2.8 clean, couple of times. I have then gone back to 2.7.1 and then updated back to 2.8 only to have it happen again. You name it and I have tried it. No plug-ins being used so that’s not the problem, removed them too. I can always remove all file and folders and reload 2.7.1 and it works fine. Crazy so far?? I have updated three other site with no problem.

In reply to: WP 2.8 Admin not showing properHELLO! Why can’t we get a answer to this problem. The only thing that works/fixes this is to reload 2.7.1. There must be something that the original auto upgrade to 2.8 hosed up something in the database.

In reply to: wp-admin broken in 2.8The problem with admin that yacumos has posted a pic of is what my admin looks like. Just text links in a long line one under the other with the info that should be to the right of the menu down at the bottom under all the text links.

Mine did not look right in any browser FF, Safari, IE.
FTPed 2.8 several times with and with out plugin’s.
What is up with this 2.8 admin problem?
For now rolled back to 2.7.1.

In reply to: After 2.8 Admin all on 1 pageReloaded 2.7.1. Admin working correctly. Not sure what was going on with 2.8. Reloaded it about 4 time, Admin same each time. The admin would be just text links one under the other all the way down the left side of the page. not working as normal menu. Then at the bottom of all the test links was the page info that should be right of the menu. If you clicked on another link it would load the info at the bottom of all the links NOT TO THE RIGHT of the menu.
