In reply to: [BadgeOS] Custom Fields?Worked a treat, Brad – thank you.
Just a note to anyone else, you need to adjust the badge part of the add_post_type_support portion to be the slug of the award type

In reply to: [WordPress Social Login] Linking AccountsWSL matches users by email address, from what I see. I have a few users with same email and different providers and their Social Logins have been grouped together under the same user.
Only issue is Twitter and providers that you force an email to be provided and then WSL says duplicate user and can go no further. I think that’s a bug of sorts and have noted it elsewhere, with no reply or feedback, yet.
All good, mate.
I would suggest wpMandrill too because you want the same safe delivery of your WP notices like new user etc
Good luck!Get a Mandrill account and do your SPF and DKIM – it has a great interface to check them for when they’re ready to use.
1. Look for wpMandrill plugin for your WP emails
2. Configure the Wysija SMTP config in much the same way as EE
then you’re set to go.You’ll probably eventually want to style your plain-jane WP emails to use HTML and then insert useful links in those email. Obviously you might not either but I did as it’s another way to advertise affiliate links, my shop etc. The Templating took me a little while to suss out but with the help of their support, I just created a HTML template and inserted some ‘content’ tag and I was all set – freaking beautiful and 12000 per month free emails.
Recommended definitely and works great with Wysija too
All that and more – these guys come from MailChimp actually
I have SPF and DKIM all set through them.
They are fully API driven1. I now use Mandrillapp which gives you 12000 free email sends per month which is wonderful. Much lower cost over that point compared to other services I’ve comnpared too.
Their support is great and responsive and helpful. Integrates reporting into WP as well as working with all my other stuff flawlessly – and they also provide a templating system too which allows me to ditch the ‘WP Better Emails’ plugin so all my standard WP emails are branded and HTMLified
2. I use WangGuard and WangGuard for Wysija – the latter doesn’t yet provide any reporting on what that plugin has trapped so I can only give you a ‘feeling’ that it has done some good.
I still get obvious Spammy singups which are Unconfirmed and I delete myself after a few days – housekeeping.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] Points don't seem correctOK, all created badges (of mine) have had points attached to them from the very beginning so any member that has achieved a badge should have had points allocated for each and every badge.
While I’ve moved on from ElasticEmail now and using a better provider, there is indeed Spam subscribers and it’s a fact of Internet life unfortunately.
For starters, you can try the complimentary Wangguard/Wysija plugin that should help minimise bots – you still can’t stop the manual buggers though unless they’ve been reported to WangGuard.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] Points don't seem correctAll the points were assigned to all badges on creation and publication of the badge.
You can see from the second example that every badge for this member has had no points given for any of the badges – and the majority of these were created when I first installed BadgeOS.So far all my badges are issue once and can be achieved once, though the I do have one that expires after 90 days.
” I’m wondering if adding the points for the badge doesn’t update point values for all who already earned it. “
Not sure what this means, Michael.

Yeah mate, that theme thing was the issue for most stuff and we’re so grateful for Michael’s help in all that – he’s a gem to the team.

In reply to: [WordPress Social Login] No easy way to remove InstagramI found similar @ruben.cc and after a few tries, they were removed.
I can only suggest you try it a few times.
I still very much like the direction of this plugin, after looking at many others so I’ll be sticking with it.@makbeta
I tried your functions.php snippet and it does seem to me to work.
Default avatar is still being used, despite Social Login shows avatars from the likes of Facebook and Instagram.
Are you using the latest BuddyPress or have any other thoughts why your code might not work?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BadgeOS] Any shortcodes for display of available badges?Yeah, my http://www.geekandjock.com/badges/new-members-rock page is now working so was a theme conflict.
The theme Devs are now checking it out for me as well in case there’s some coding issue on their side that they can rectify.
Great support from Michael and the BadgeOS team – great plugin.
