    Hi Yadiihair,

Glad to hear you found a (temporary) solution. Thank you for reporting back here. It might help other people.
Maybe you could also report this problem to the page builder people? Maybe they’re not aware of this problem..

    Yadiihair,

Are you sure the polylang plugin is the only one causing the problem? I switched off al my plugins and activated them one by one to see what caused the problem. There was another plugin (backupguard) that I completely removed from the site.

The solution is to deactivate the plugin, go to settings –> permalinks. Change the link-style to the standard and apply. Load your site in a browser window and check if your site becomes visible.
If it is, reactivate the Polylang plugin.

You can change the link-style back if you want, or leave it as is.
Remember that your site was indexed with the permalinks in a certain style so if you mind SEO it might be better to reset your style.

    Hi Esmi!

Thank you for the suggestion. I found that it’s the Polylang plugin that causes the 404 errors. I’ve never had any problems with that plugin in the past.

    edit:
The solution for anyone with a plugin that fiddles around with the links (polylang and others). You need to go to settings –> permalinks and change it to the standard option. After that you may reactivate the plugin and change the permalink settings back.

Did you update your jetpack plugin after the upgrade?

    Hello @sagar.k

I knew something was wrong with the
< pre > tags but I thought they were part of the plugin. For some reason, the rich text editor always adds < pre >
and/or < code > tags when switching between the visual and text editor. It’s something I have to keep in mind when publishing a page.

I kindly thank you for your time sir. If you’d ever need a dutch translation for your plugin, I’d be glad to help out.

    Best Regards,
    Platteau Reinhout`
