In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Ticket UI on Event Page — editing@kenashford This is interesting.
Here are some ideas:
- In the product where you sell the flex pass, customize the email to tell the customers to use the code on Checkout
- You can certainly customize the Event Page, either before or after the chart/purchase area. In settings, you can make sure that the settings allow for your Child Events to show content. However, this would only apply to people that buy the flexpass
- On the product page where you sell the flex pass, you can also just edit that product page to explain how to use this product
If these ideas don’t work for you, re-open this or email info at opentickets.com. \
Good luck!

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Custom wording on Event Calendar page@designbysue Currently you would have to edit the template in the OTCE files.
However this is a good idea. We do have the Event where you can place your content above or below the seating chart, etc.
I added this idea to our feature backlog as a candidate.
@gipszjakab we’re following up to see if you resolved your issue.
With a local install on windows could be a myriad of issues but we’d have no way to login and look.
We have no way to support a local installation. if you do get this onto a webserver and continue to have this issue, reach out to us and we’ll try to help.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] non-QR code ticket numbersFirst apologies for the late reply!
One idea is that you can choose to place the Order Number on the ticket. you would still have QR code, but if you use a WooCommerce ORder Number that is sequential, that would help.
Another idea is to just use the Attendee Report, which comes with OTCE for free, to print before your shows.
You can sort and then print by Alphabetical or Order NUmber. There’s a print friendly version and also a CSV export, so you can use either to print and check people off.
Some of our larger customers use this as a backup for the Ushers before a show. That way if a patron forgets a ticket, they can just come to Usher and show Id, and be directed to their seat.
It’s also useful for ‘offline’ events. We have a shakespeare festival in the boonies without wifi and even difficult phone coverage. They use the Printed Attendees report.
While we like digital tickets, sometimes the answer of paper is still a good one.
Hope this helps.
@joenewbie You can export the Attendees report to a CSV which will include QR codes or bar codes (depending on your settings).
So what some customers do is ‘sell’ a bunch of ‘house’ or ‘guest’ tickets, then print those off, or in your case, export those from the Attendees report and you can use that data to format otherwise.
another possibility is that if you have a Boca or ITX printer, you can set the ticket template (for the backend sales) to print to those.
We have several customers that print using the VBO Extension to sell tickets in the backend, then print using their local thermal on their stock. Customers, of course, who buy online get the standard ‘print on regular paper’ template.
Hope this helps give you some ideas. If you need further info, please feel free to email info at opentickets.com . Perhaps can schedule a call with someone to help guide further.
Good luck!

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Centering Calendar on page@designbysue we went to take a look and the link above (which appears to be a preview link) doesn’t go to a calendar. if you are not using OTCE any longer, we are sorry to see you go.
If you are and are having issues, just reply to this and we’ll take a look at the calendar when live.
@schmidtjd apologies for delay… we tried the credentials for your URL but it was not working. Can you hit the ‘reset password’ for our username? Have a developer ready to help today. If not today, then anytime after holiday as well…

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] distinguish events types@nandoron There isn’t a current way to distinguish the type of event on front end for different rules for CSS.
Since this is a good idea, I added it to our backlog for potential future features. We can see how this would be useful.
If you keep an eye on the changelog and/or join the mailing list we often update people on new features.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Open date ticket@ohgeorge This is an interesting use case but OT is event/date driven. There might be a better solution for this case.
Hey, we love OpenTickets but it isn’t the answer for everyone.
Perhaps consider using a WooCommerce Product? Make it ‘Virtual’ and that way you might be able to just sell that. There can be a total inventory. Note that this idea will mean that there isn’t a specific inventory by date.
Good luck.i’ll make this resolved but just reopen if we can help further.
@thetallguy apologies for delay in response. for paid extensions you can access your support portal on the My Account page on OpenTickets.com .
Reaching out to find out an answer for you.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Ticket-Link in E-Mail does not work@salonkultur We have not experienced this in any of our installations. I see you have a lot of plugins.
Can you provide us a URL and login to take a look? If you setup account ‘opentickets’ with email info @ opentickets.com we could see if there is something obvious.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] wp 4.5.2 how to activated plugin@egnlr this could be a few things.
Just some possibilities:
1. Make sure you are using a theme that is WooCommerce friendly
2. WooCommerce has to be activated first
3. Post the output from the ‘OpenTickets -> System Status -> Show Report’ and paste that here. it might reveal an issue.
