The error code happens when it conflicts with event organiser (correct plugin link above). This happens when event organiser’s event clash plugin kicks in:
When the user tries to use the front end submission form to schedule an event that would conflict with an already scheduled event. If you want to recreate the events leading to the error code (i did not want to post the error code here) do this:
site is Cortland Lions Club
go to Renting the Lions Den and fill in the form with the following information…date should be Dec 19 2015
click the all day box
nothing in the rest of the field matters, but put “Test” in the event title.This will recreate the issue.

In reply to: [Page Comments Off Please] after update to 4.4 plugin clashyes, i did deactivate page comments off please after re-installing wordpress core, since the problem persisted when clicking on new event. i deactivated comments a different way (in my child theme) and now there is no problem.

I hadn’t realized that the child theme style.css would also over-ride plug-in based css. Just to be sure, the attribute in question would be this
.yks-mailchimpFormContainer-0-7a6382a33a
or would it be
.yks-mailchimpFormContainer ?
and I also noticed this attribute in the style.ykseme.css, front end section. Why isn’t this the attribute for the background when placed in a sidebar as a widget? Admittedly, I am a beginner…

Would love to know if this is a bug in the plugin or something going on with my site.

In reply to: [Column-Matic] Plugin breaking css on windows firefox and ieApologies Baden, I took it down and have decided to just code it myself. Oddly, running into the same problem doing it just with CSS. It might be something with the way that W3TC minifies CSS.
I did clear W3TC, but it did not do anything. I am loath to deactivate it, since the site is already running slow and will run slower.
I’ll try using the plugin again, since it would be quicker than my other option of using tables (yuck).
I’ll post a new link here when I get it back up.

Just updated firefox for mac and it is breaking the css now on a mac too. I have tried it using inline attributes to the [column] tag and creating a class for the columns. It breaks both times. Appears to be interfering with the wrapper class.

Actually, yay! there is a way to control this in the front end. When you put in email addresses for the form to go to, if you just but in an email address the default form of address is ‘webmaster.’ To change this, enter the email address in like this:
Technical Support,name@yourdomain.com
The help button next to this entry field explains also how to route emails using more than one email address in this field, which will give you a drop down selector at the head of the form itself for people to choose who they want the email sent to.
