Hi qfalconer,
Thank you for reporting that issue.
Do you have a copy of the error code that was being thrown?
Is the plugin it was conflicting with this one? https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-organiser/
If so we can test it on our end. May I also ask what theme you are using?
Thank you!

Hi Tracy,
The error code happens when it conflicts with event organiser (correct plugin link above). This happens when event organiser’s event clash plugin kicks in:
When the user tries to use the front end submission form to schedule an event that would conflict with an already scheduled event. If you want to recreate the events leading to the error code (i did not want to post the error code here) do this:
site is Cortland Lions Club
go to Renting the Lions Den and fill in the form with the following information…
date should be Dec 19 2015
click the all day box
nothing in the rest of the field matters, but put “Test” in the event title.
This will recreate the issue.
Thanks!
Carolyn
Hey Carolyn,
I was actually able to narrow the issue down a bit, and reproduce things on my end.
The error actually occurs when your form is set to ‘Non-Ajax’. There is a conflict with our page redirect, and some of the variables get overwritten causing the undefined variable errors.
I am going to add this to the top of our to do/bug list, and get things resolved. I have a few things I have cleared up for the next release (which will hopefully be out in the next few days).
In the meantime, my recommendation is to set the form to AJAX on the edit form page (right hand sidebar nested in the ‘Submission Settings’ section). Once you set the form to AJAX, things should work properly. I’m not 100% sure as to why the global variable is causing a conflict, but I will certainly get things cleared up in the next release.
Thank you very much for reported the issue here. This is the first we’re hearing about this in such detail, so it was very very helpful in helping pinpoint the issue so we can help resolve it.

Thanks again, Carolyn, for reporting this issue.
I’m going to close out this ticket here, because I added it to our fix list on Github.
Look for the fix in the next update of the plugin coming out soon.
Thank you!
