Unfortunately without more information, I can’t really make an assessment on what is going on.
The only thing I could think of is to check to make sure that the page you are editing with the metabox has the same ID as the page that is rendering on the page in the URL.
If you inspect the source of the page that should display the video background you’ll see an ID in the body class of the
<body>element. You’ll want to make sure this ID matches the page ID with the metabox.I hope this helps!

I took a look and it seems the .mp4 video that you are currently using doesn’t play nicely with Safari. Possibly it was compressed with a codec that is not supported by Safari. You can see that Safari won’t play this MP4 by going to the direct link:

I would recommend re-compressing this video with a different codec or software to see if that fixes it 🙂

I believe I responded to your email earlier but I’ll reiterate here in case anyone else has this problem.
It looks like the issue is related to a customizer specific JavaScript function which isn’t being executed correctly.
Video Background should still work fine once the page is published and no longer viewed through customizer.

This is currently an issue when the theme being used overwrites SiteOrigin’s row function. At this point, there is nothing that I am able to do since it is the theme that is affecting it.
However, the method that you referenced (using a row’s custom div ID in the metabox) is the method that I recommend when this issue arises.

There is currently no way to disable autoplay for video background. I’ve made the decision to only support autoplay since video background is used as a visual appeal and not so much a video player.

Yes, what 0excusesfitness is correct. Since video backgrounds take up the container’s space, there is no true way to set the size of the video background, unless you set the container size to a fixed width and height. Additionally, you could use a CSS aspect ratio.
I would recommend this method since most videos are a 16:9 aspect ratio. you can set the aspect ratio of your container through a few lines of CSS. I’ve linked an article below that shows you how to do this 🙂

In short, if you want the same sizing for the video background across all devices (desktop, tablet, device) you’ll have to set the container to an aspect ratio of your choosing.
This goes for both Video Background and Video Background Pro.

Video Background currently doesn’t support video backgrounds on mobile. That is what the fallback image is used for. If you supply a fallback image you will see that image. If you need mobile video background support, Video Background Pro supports this.
