In reply to: Blog Not Set Up for ‘Rolling’ FunctionalityI have half the answer. Looks like I can change the excerpt. On https://lorelleteaches.com/2012/10/15/how-to-set-and-manage-excerpts-in-wordpress/, there’s a section:
“To Set An Explicit Excerpt”.Now, can I make the actual post title and the one that shows on the blog page different?

In reply to: Blog Not Set Up for ‘Rolling’ FunctionalityI took a closer look. Some of the titles and the excerpts do not necessarily match the title and content.
In fact, some are posts, some are links, and some are pages.
The first entry, a post. The second just goes to an external link.
The third one is a good example of what’s going on – the title and excerpts say one thing, but if you click Read More, the corresponding page has a different title, and the content does not match the excerpt.
So, basically, it’s statically set up to looks like a blog, not behave like one.
They really like the way it looks though. Can I set this up so it behaves like a real blog, yet have some of the titles and excerpts differ from the actual title and content?

In reply to: Blog Not Set Up for ‘Rolling’ Functionalityit’s something customized from the design team.
They have their logo in place of where you would see the theme image, however, it says themes.muffingroup.com/betheme Version: 10.9 next to that

In reply to: Missing Header and Navthanks for the suggestions. Here’s what I’ve done:
– deactivated all plugins.
– switched to the 2015 theme.
In both cases, it was still the same.
This site was recently created by a (supposedly) professional agency. I’ve since come on board to help, and do not have FTP or PhpMyAdmin access.
I’ve looked in the Editor, all the files are there as well, aren’t they?
I’ve created a copy with Duplicator, and am trying to deploy it on another server, but I am having trouble – staying on it though.
Is there anything else I can do without having FTP or PhpMyAdmin access?

In reply to: Display a Single Instagram Post on Home PageSorry about the long code. I did not know. Here it is on github:

I don’t know why I am having difficulty having this one post show as a popup.
All plugins are off. WP is updated to 4.5.3. I’ve tried 3 plugins:
Popslide
Popup Maker
Popup BuilderIs it due to my theme, Headway?
Is there a better plugin, preferably free, that would work to display that post as a popup?
Hi Harish,
I see what it was. I was testing with
a@b.com, which was considered to be an invalid email address.Working now, thank you very much.

In reply to: Delayed Appearing Sub-Post Optinfound something.
while I’ve checked other sites, I see http://www.mensfitness.com/women/dating-advice/how-use-tinder-tact has a slide-in opt-in form.
I think that’s ‘hellobar’, and it’s a bit dated I think.
Does anyone know if https://www.mailmunch.co, https://sumome.com/, https://sleeknote.com/ or any like it has a kind of pop up setting that would slide in or up once someone scrolls to the bottom of the post?

In reply to: Delayed Appearing Sub-Post OptinBob, That form at the bottom is called an opt-in. Sometimes it is written without the hyphen.
He wants it so that when someone scrolls to the bottom of his posts, that, or a similar form pops up, in a delayed fashion, I imagine using CSS animation or something.
I hope it’s clearer now. Let me know if it’s still not clear and I will try to make it clearer.
