I believe I’ve sorted it out. I contacted mailchimp support, and was directed to go to this page: xxxx.admin.mailchimp.com/audience/settings/, under “Required email footer content”, and fill in the “Website URL – Where did people opt in to this audience?” field, which was previously blank. I entered the URL for the page where users can access my free gift.
It looks like the issue was caused by that field being empty. Once I added the URL, I was correctly redirected there after completing the double opt-in process.
Now, in MC4WP > Settings, I’ve also set the “Redirect to URL after successful sign-ups” option to 0, so users will go through the double opt-in and then land on the gift page.
I’ll run a test to confirm everything is working as expected. Thank you.

ok, thank you. But, I am still having an issue. Starts with, I get an email, get a link:
“Please Confirm Subscription
Yes, subscribe me to this list.”I click that, am brought to a page:
“Confirm Humanity” and click the checkbox.
Then I see “Continue to website”, click that, and see:
“That’s odd

So, that’s a mailchimp issue?

@sirlouen, I haven’t played around with Full Site Editing afaik. I find that the top-most area, the header and menu area, is not very adjustable unless one involves CSS.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] No Order NotificationThank you for your understanding. I installed WP Mail SMTP, created a test run, and got an email just fine. In over 10 years of working with WP, I have never seen an email not get sent, wp_mail() or not (whatever that is).
I think by now handling email should be a route and basic thing, and not cause issues nor hangups. I look forward to hearing that the issue gets fixed going forward.

I tried the WP Mail SMTP plugin, created a test order, and I did get an email notification right away.
As I mentioned, if the issue isn’t WooCommerce’s fault and lies with WordPress, and several other people have reported that they have experienced this too, why not add a warning and suggested steps to prevent others from experiencing the same frustration, or even better, work with wordpress, since woo is a fairly well-known plugin, so this doesn’t happen for anyone?

Went to error log file. Seeing
The Automattic\WooCommerce\Admin\API\Options::get_options function is deprecated since version 3.1.
