In reply to: [Media Tags] Add new media with media tagsThe Media-Tags plugin does not provide any options at the import step. You can only assign media-tags to already imported/uploaded media. This is a pain but is due to the way WordPress controls that upload page. There are not any hooks for plugins to gain access to the information prior to upload.

In reply to: [Media Tags] Order of attachmentsWhile you have a solution provided by @keesiemeijer, Allow me to provide a better more flexible solution.
The Media-Tags function get_attachments_by_media_tags() supports many of the same query arguments as get_posts. So you can pass ‘orderby’ into the function arguments as well as ‘order’.

In reply to: [Media Tags] Custom search form for media-tagsSearch for the front-end is probably not ever going to be part of the plugin core. The cutoff point for the plugin (my decision) was to just add the under pinning to the new taxonomy for media. And a few template functions. Doing things like search and or widgets has been done by others. Check the wordpress.org plugins.
Search on the backend is somewhat difficult now that WP has changed the media section. Searching on Media > Library can’t be limited to just Media-tags since again that form is owned by WP core and very little can be done to override elements like search.

In reply to: [Simply Exclude] conflict with Catch IDs and Recently Registered@crashtest, This should now be fixed.
To answer your question there is a difference between Pages and Posts. A Page is never part of an Archive listing. Archives are for Posts only.
So on the Pages editor you will only see the two options for Searches and Widget: Pages in relation to Simply Exclude options.

In reply to: [Simply Exclude] plugin creates wrong redirecting to category-pagesSorry, I don’t check these forums very often. I’m available to help look into this issue. But need more information about your site and how you are using the Simply Exclude plugin. Technically it should not effect your redirect on menus. It is simply a way to exclude items from the normal listings. For example exclude certain posts from a category archive.

In reply to: [Simply Exclude] Illegal string offset error after PHP upgrade@nic Windley,
Technically it is a PHP Warning not an Error. So it will not stop the PHP processing on your pages. It’s more informational that a variable was improperly set. If you enable WP_DEBUG in you wp-config.php it will show the warning.
But I should have this fixed shortly.
