    What plugin are you trying to update ?
    If its premium one , you need to contact the plugin author.
    If its a free plugin from WP Repository post the details of the plugin along with its current version as well as the new version that you are trying to upgrade.

    Besides the URL you posted is the WP Admin login , which will not be accessible to others.
    So post the screenshot of the error you get while upgrading the plugin.

    @little_kostas

    Do you have back-ups of older versions before you upgrade regularly ?
    As you said , posts from 2015 – 2016 are lost , you might have lost it when you have been upgrading versions from 2015…

    Is your website customised ? (both themes & plugins)

    Sometimes when you upgrade a customised site , you have to make sure you do it properly without breaking or messing up the older content.

    Post the URL to your website , as we can check the latest posts & try to figure out if older posts are accessible.

    @lucyappadoo

    The link you posted is the WP Admin page , which will not be accessible by others.
    So post the screenshot with the page on mobile view , that would help us to provide solution.

    If your site is mobile responsive , all the pages / posts should be visible on mobile as well as PC.

    From my experience , a basic plan would be sufficient for running a personal blog with limited traffic.
    You might need to consider upgrading the server only when the bandwidth is not enough to handle the traffic to your site.

    Try to de-activate & remove unwanted plugins , keep only the necessary plugins .
    This should solve the issues you encounter.

    If you still encounter such issues, then check the error logs / access logs on your server , that should give you some insight on the problem , based on which you can take necessary actions.

    Make sure to monitor the web server & database servers .

    @omavaraisuushaaste

    I did check your site now & it works fine.
    But as you say , the site becomes unstable sometimes , can you post some details on what sort of errors / issues you get like 500 errors or any other errors visible on the screen when you access the site ?
    Post some screenshots with the errors , that will help to understand better.
    BTW: You seem to have installed a lot of plugins .
    Because I see your site is more or less a blogging one (correct me if I’m wrong) , do you really need all of these plugins for your site?

    @glooper

    Read the article below to know more about the WP user roles & permissions , this should give you some idea on how to manage users & restrict their privileges.

    @haimk123

    First revert back your site to the previous version from your back-ups if you have any.

    Also did you check the PHP Version on your server ?

    Read the WordPress 5.2 version requirements & make sure your server is been upgraded with required PHP/MySQL versions.

    As Dawood said , SSL is not properly configured , this can be resolved by the hosting provider , contact their tech support to resolve it quickly.

    Besides , you may also need to redirect your regular HTTP requests to HTTPS requests , so that the all the pages are rendered properly without any warnings.

    @maze0002

    The error that you have mentioned is on the WP Admin side , which we will not be able to see it .

    So can you post the screenshot of the actual error displayed along with the page / post details ?

    Thanks.

    @ingrunge91

    Creating a landing page request doesn’t come under this “Fixing WordPress” forum , probably you need to post it on other forums thats more suitable for people to help you.

    Because this forum is specific to user requests in fixing errors / bugs / issues with your wordpress site.

    Anyway to answer your question , if you are using your site as a blog , then by default you will have archives listed on the right hand side of the site grouped based on Year / Month.

    Can you post the URL to your site , as that would help to understand better 🙂

    @senojeel

    Please follow the below steps,

    1. Create new redirect ( 301 ) for non-www ( http:///cmfi.org/signin/) redirect & then test it.

    2. You’re probably using a cache plugin, please purge your cache or disable your plugin for a few minutes and then check it up.

    Hope it helps !

    @calikaterina

    I have checked the screenshots. It seems to be issues with caches / plugins.

    First , clear your WordPress site caches using “Delete Cache” link in top of the WordPress admin navigation bar & then test it.

    Second, Deactivate all plugins & reactivate manually one by one & then test it ( Sometimes, plugins may cause compatibility issues )

    Hope this helps !

    @nmastin2014

    I did check the site home page & it works fine.
    But the admin login displays the Access denied error.

    There may be fewer scenarios where this type of message might occur , most common among them are File permissions.

    FTP in to host
    Check file permissions on wp-login.php, if the permissions on this file are “00”
    Change permissions back to 0644
    You should be able to login again

    @koshtiarun
    It seems to be sort of folder / file permission.
    Please check the folder & file permissions under “wp-content” folder & make sure all the files / folders have access privileges by the apache web server , so that it might solve this error.
    Thanks.

    Can you elaborate the term “step by step upgrade” ?

    It’s called as “Jump-to-Jump” WordPress upgrade. If you plan on upgrading WordPress across more than two major releases, you should consider upgrading manually to avoid conflicts and minimize the risks of database damage. For example, if you plan on upgrading from 2.5 to 5.1.1, upgrade to 2.7 first, followed by 2.9, then 3.1, and so on.

    but from WordPress 3.7+ introduced an easy one-button updater which will take you directly to 5.1.1. This update step is safe, and it’s possible to one-click update from 4.9.1 to later version 5.1.1

    When I click ” Upgrade Now ” Will not it upgrade in the latest version straight away?

    Yes, you can directly upgrade it. Before upgrade, please take a backup of your full WordPress setup directories, files & database. The one-click update from 4.9.1 to later version 5.1.1 is possible with “Upgrade Now” button.

    If you have any issues, Please de-activate all plugins & click on “Upgrade Now” button. You can reactivate plugins once you finish the successful upgrade.

    Generally plugins are the ones that will cause issues while upgrading , but if you upgrade them too , then it shouldn’t be a problem.

    Hope it helps !!
