Hi @alikakhi,
Thank you so much for your kind words and the 5-star review! We’re thrilled to hear that our plugin has been beneficial for your business. We’re proud to have you as a user.
Hey @nikdow,
Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear about the challenge with the emails going to SPAM folders.
First, I’d like to confirm that the WP Mail SMTP plugin simply acts as a bridge between your site and the mailer service such that when an email is sent through the
wp_mailfunction, the plugin picks it up and hands it over to the mailer service. From your description, is it possible that you might have another plugin modifying the email request? Could you please try sending out the test email with all the other plugins temporarily disabled and also, would you please check to ensure that the assigned From Email, from the WP Mail SMTP » Settings section is authorized?
If all is properly set up and the issue is still happening, please run a test on the sending mailer through https://www.mail-tester.com and share with us the report.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hey @akschoeck,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
From your description and the shared From Email, is it possible that you have the mailer set up through Brevo? If you have this setup under Brevo and need to get started with the troubleshooting process, please confirm that you have the sending domain verified as outlined in the Authorizing Your Domain section.
Alternatively, if you have this setup through Google/Gmail mailer option as outlined in the Google Workspace / Gmail guide, it’s possible that you might have another plugin modifying the From Email when sending the emails. To isolate this, I recommend running a check for any other SMTP plugin that might be running on the site, and if possible, testing the WP Mail SMTP connection with no other plugins activated.
I hope this helps. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with further questions.

Hey @grrin,
Thank you for your patience while we investigated the issue. Our tests suggest that the problem might be specific to your setup as we’ve not been able to replicate this. To help us troubleshoot this further, could you please check your
wp_optionsdatabase table and share the value of the row whereoption_name=wp_mail_smtp_lite_weekly_sent_email_counter? This will give us an idea on what might be causing the issue.Looking forward to your reply.

Hey @somlogabor,
Sorry to hear about the challenge you’re facing with the spam bot emails.
When Easy WP SMTP is set up, it significantly improves email delivery. When the delivery problem is fixed, it fixes it for all emails. This means both legitimate emails and spam will be able to make it through, as our plugin doesn’t determine what email is legitimate and what isn’t. It passes all emails over to the mailer service.
What you’ll want to do is stop spam at the source, which is the forms on your site. Stopping spam before it can be submitted will stop WordPress and Easy WP SMTP from processing it. This not only stops spam from landing in your email, but it also helps prevent your hosting account from running unnecessary processes, which can affect your resource usage.
Check with the developer of your form software. Often, they will have specific recommendations on how to stop spam from being submitted. For instance, WPForms has several built-in methods of mitigating spam: https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-prevent-spam-in-wpforms/
I hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to let me know
Hey @johnoryan246810,
Thanks for getting back to me and for the confirmation. Unfortunately, with the emails being sent through Jetpack’s own email delivery system, they will not be logged by the WP Mail Logging plugin.
This is not something we can affect. Only emails that are sent via the native WordPress wp_mail() function will be logged. To get some insight on this, you can consider getting in touch with the Jetpack team and check to see if they’re able to switch out the newsletter emails to use the wp_mail function.
Hi @johnoryan246810, thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear about the challenge you are facing. To be sure that I understand, would you please confirm how you have the email set up on the site? Is it possible that you might be using the Jetpack plugin to manage the emails?
For some context, the plugin should log all email attempts for all emails triggered through the wp_mail function. In your case, with the emails being delivered but not being logged, this suggests that the email solution might not be getting sent through the function.
I am looking forward to your response.
