Hi @phurst451,
Thanks for the mail and sorry to hear about the delivery issue with Brevo.
If you have the sending domain properly authenticated and no errors shows up when sending out a test email, this suggests that the email is being handed over to the mailer service but the email is not being delivered.
To narrow down on this, please review the Brevo logs for the specific email instances status, this will include all the details on why the email is not being delivered.
let me know how it goes!

Hi @juliereader,
We haven’t heard from you in a while, so I’m going to go ahead and close out this thread for now. If you’re still having trouble, feel free to respond here at your convenience and we’ll be happy to help.
Have a great day!
Hey @jlc1288,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry you’re having trouble with emails on your site. Based on the error you shared, it looks like your Gmail API credentials may have expired, or you might have recently changed your Google account password.
To get things back up and running, generate a new Client ID and Client Secret in the Google Cloud Console. For a walkthrough of the process, please checkout out setup guide. In case it helps, you can also follow along with our video walkthrough for step-by-step instructions.
Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need any further help!
Hi @geetarviol,
Thank you for sharing your update! I’m glad to hear that you’ve resolved the mailer issue.
Regarding your original question about the domain preview, I couldn’t pinpoint the exact source of the preview display. To better understand and provide context and advice, could you please share a screenshot of the field and how it appears on your end?
I look forward to your response.
Hey @socialbear,
Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear about the challenge with the SMTP connection.
You’re seeing this because Hostinger won’t let you send as website@superfluousmart.com when you’ve authenticated as info@superfluousmart.com. The SMTP server is rejecting the “From Email” address.
To fix it, could you please try one of these:
- In WP Mail SMTP → Settings, change From Email to info@superfluousmart.com (then save and send a test).
- In your Hostinger control panel (or via Hostinger support), add/verify website@superfluousmart.com as an authorized sender.
If you’d rather avoid SMTP restrictions, switch to a transactional mailer (API-based) like SendLayer, Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), SMTP.com, SendGrid, or Mailgun.
Kind regards.
Hi @mihael,
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, and I sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the WPForms installation.
I want to clarify that WP Mail SMTP does not automatically install additional plugins without user consent. However, I understand how this might have appeared to happen. During our Setup Wizard, there is an optional “Smart Contact Form” feature that includes WPForms Lite, but this should only be installed if that specific checkbox remains checked during setup. Here’s a screenshot of how this appears on the setup wizard: https://a.supportally.com/dacC5g
It’s possible that this checkbox was selected and may have been missed during the installation process.
I hope this helps clarify on the confusion and apologies for any frustration linked to this.
Kind regards!
Hi @missingkorea,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the challenge with BuddyPress emails.
Since test emails are sending fine, your mailer connection should be all set and the issue may lie with BuddyPress not initiating the activation email.
To assist with troubleshooting this, enable Debug Events in WP Mail SMTP and toggle the Debug Email Sending option to see every email WordPress sends. This will also include any errors linked to the email sending process.
For some context, WP Mail SMTP simply bridges your site to your mailer (for example, SendLayer) so messages use your mailer’s servers instead of your host’s but does not have an option to initiate the email instance.
I hope this helps and do let us know how it goes!
Hi @juliereader,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the challenge.
WP Mail SMTP does not modify or override any snippets applied, however, from your description, is it possible that your snippet might be running with a lower priority such that it fires after the email has been sent?
To assist in further troubleshooting this, can you provide additional information on which hook/filter you’re using and the priority you have set?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @sfrancoijs,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience with the plugin.
To provide more context on the feedback you shared, I’d like to confirm that WP Mail SMTP does not implicitly install any extra plugins. However, we do provide an option that allows you to select additional related plugins that work alongside WP Mail SMTP.
For instance,WPForms Lite will only be installed during the Setup Wizard if the “Smart Contact Form” checkbox is not unchecked. Here’s how this appears in the setup wizard: https://a.supportally.com/dacC5g
Regarding the usage metrics, this allows our team to better understand our users and their website needs by looking at a range of variables in their WP Mail SMTP plugin, WordPress, and web server. For clarity, we have a complete list of the information we collect upon installation in our usage guide. We also provide an option to opt out.
I apologize if this was unclear, but I hope this helps shed light on the matter.
Kind regards.
Thank you, @schnurrsula, for the amazing 5-star review! We’re so grateful for your kind words about the simplicity and ease of our plugin with Elementor.
Thanks for your support! 😊
Thank you for your feedback, and apologies for any confusion about log access in the Lite version. WP Mail SMTP Lite is designed to provide all the essential tools you need to send emails reliably.
We do highlight this in the plugin description, the Pro version of WP Mail SMTP provides additional features such as Email Logging.
Screenshot: https://a.supportally.com/i/PzChxv
While on the Lite version, please note that you can use a standalone email logging plugin, such as the WP Mail Logging plugin, which works very well with WP Mail SMTP, and you’ll still be able to reliably send emails as well as access email logs.
I hope this helps clear things up and again, we apologize for the confusion.
Kind regards.
Hi @dmikra,
We haven’t heard from you in a while, so I’m going to go ahead and close out this thread for now. If you’re still having trouble, feel free to respond here at your convenience and we’ll be happy to help.
Have a great day!
Hi @fabdu43,
Thanks for sharing your experience with the plugin and apologies if this may have been confusing in any way.
To confirm, the Lite version of the plugin should work just fine and you should be able to send and troubleshoot any email delivery issues as outlined on our email delivery troubleshooting guide.
For some insight on the error reported for each instance of the email sent, you can enable Debug Events from the WP Mail SMTP » Tools section under the Debug Events tab. This will highlight the specific error for each instance.
Kind regards.
Hi @dmikra,
Thanks for the follow-up. Is it possible that you have another implementation or plugin modifying the format? I ran a quick test on this on my end and this worked as expected. Here’s a screencast of the same.
Would you please share with us some more specific screenshots of how you have the settings page, under the date format section, so that I can try to replicate or isolate anything that could be causing this?
Kind regards.
Hi @dmikra,
Thanks for the follow-up.
Unfortunately, at the moment, we do not have a workaround that would allow setting the specific timeline when an event can be removed from the Event List block.
I’m however going to share this for further discussion and consideration with the team. In the meantime, would you mind sharing more on how you’d have such an option work?
I am looking forward to your response.
Regards.
