Hello @gmr1970!
We checked the source code of both your French and Spanish checkout pages, and it shows that the noindex tags aren’t coming from the Yoast SEO plugin. Can you please perform a conflict check? The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. You may follow the steps here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts
Hello @beantown123!
Just to verify, does the post have an author and a featured image? The Yoast SEO plugin automatically adds the Article schema and all required information on a standard WordPress post as long as it has an author and a featured image. More details here: https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/pieces/article/
Hello @katandmouse!
Sorry for the trouble. There is an option to turn on/off the SEO and Readability analysis. Can you please check whether they are enabled for you? Please go to SEO > General > Features (tab).
If they’re already enabled, can you please provide us a screenshot of your Yoast SEO meta box?
Hello Tobias!
What version of Yoast SEO were you updating from? Also, can you please make sure that the WordPress version you’re running is the latest? If not, you need to update WordPress first before you install the latest version of Yoast SEO.
Hello @jtcheng!
Does it go away if you deactivate Yoast SEO? Also, what version of WordPress and Yoast SEO are you running? Can you please make sure they’re updated? The latest version of the Yoast plugin is 14.4.1.
You’re welcome, @sahafi73. Enjoy the rest of the week!
Hello @hgwpo!
Perhaps Google’s cache of your site is outdated or maybe Google just ignored the meta description you created.
If it’s Google’s cache, depending on how often your website is spidered, it could take some time for Google to update the changes you’ve made and this can vary depending on many factors. If you have your site set up in Google Search Console, you can force Google to re-crawl a page by using URL Inspection. Please refer here.
If Google thinks a part of your text is more relevant to the search query than your own meta description, they’ll ignore the meta description you created. All you can do is deliver them as good a description as possible. Learn more about it here.
Hi @zyrgon!
After clicking on the “Reset indexables & migrations” button, can you please uninstall your existing Yoast SEO installation and install it again? Please follow these steps
- Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
- Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
- Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button
- Delete your current Yoast SEO installation
- Install version 14.4.1
- Click the “Click here to speed up your site now” button
Just an FYI, all the settings you’ve done in the Yoast plugin are saved in the database. So even if you remove the plugin and install it again, your settings are safe.
For the health and safety of your site, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database. This is especially important before installing, updating or removing plugins.
Glad to know it’s ok now. If you encounter other issues, please start a new thread. Enjoy the rest of the day!
Hey, @digilinernet!
In order to better assist you, we’ll need more information. Can you please provide us a screenshot of your Yoast SEO menu options and anything Yoast-related that doesn’t look right.
Hello @njwp!
Unfortunately, there’s really not much we can do if it’s a plugin conflict. We regularly update our plugins for continuous improvement and bug fixes but we just can’t have our plugin work with all other plugins out there.
Our usual suggestion would be to contact the developer of the other plugin and have them work with our developers directly through this GitHub repository to find a solution that won’t conflict.
Hello @omega8719!
Checked your site https://amhmagz.com/ but I don’t see anything similar to the first two screenshots you provided. The opengraph image set for your homepage is this one: https://ik.imagekit.io/amhmagzcdn/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/843120_136466936521258_373345161_o.jpg
Did you just change it? Or is it for a different post/page? Can you please provide us the URL so we can investigate further?
Hello @papaomletto!
Can you please make sure you’ve configured your settings under SEO → Search Appearance → General tab → Knowledge Graph & Schema.org section?
Can you please make sure you’re running the latest version of Yoast SEO (14.4.1), WordPress (5.4.2), your theme, and all other plugins? If you’re already updated, please provide us a screenshot of your Yoast SEO menu options so we can better investigate the issue.
Thanks!
The Yoast SEO plugin is compatible with PHP version 5.6.20 or higher. So your PHP7.3 is fine.
