Hello!
Facebook apps are a way for Facebook to integrate with a site. A common example would be logging into a site using your Facebook account. If you’re not using that, you can just leave that field blank.
Hello!
Please refer here.
Hello!
Sorry for the trouble. Can you please check if there are Javascript errors in your browser’s console? If there are, please provide us a screenshot.
Hello!
We’ve addressed your concerns as follows.
1- how do I combine my main sitemap.xml and the Yoast sitemap
You can’t combine both sitemaps using the Yoast plugin but you’re free to modify the plugin programmatically to suit your needs.Another option is to disable the Yoast sitemap and create a sitemap for your blog the same way you did with your main site. You can disable the Yoast sitemap under SEO > General > Features tab.
The easiest option though is to make your blog a part of your main site (the same WP installation) and run the Yoast SEO plugin from there so it will generate one sitemap for your entire site including your blog.
2- Are there any other things I need to deactivate or set differently to have Google index my articles correctly?
Based on our initial checks, the Yoast SEO plugin has been set up correctly in your blog. The plugin is generating the appropriate meta tags as we can see on the sample blog article you provided. That blog article is also indexed by Google. And the plugin is generating the appropriate sitemap on the part of your site where it is installed.Hello Mickaël!
We’re sorry you’re having trouble with the latest update. To help us troubleshoot, can you please check if there are Javascript errors in your browser’s console? If there are, please provide us a screenshot.

We may need to ask you to perform a conflict check but before you do that, can you please provide us your site URL so we can investigate?
Hello @amauri-brotto!
Can you please perform the following?
1) Install the Yoast Test Helper plugin.
2) Go to Tools → Yoast Test
3) Click the Reset Indexables tables & migrations button.
4) Go to SEO → Tools.
5) Click the Start processing and speed up your site now button and let it complete. Please let us know the result.
Hello @adityakoploh!
It’s possible. Have you performed the URL Inspection process in Google Search Console to force Google’s index to update? You need to do it for each of the URLs you updated. Please follow the steps here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/fetch-as-googlebot/
Hello @gandrewstx!
Just to verify, if you deactivate Yoast SEO, does it fix the issue?

Hello @nitinsinghal!
The meta description generated by the Yoast SEO plugin on your site’s source code is just a suggestion for Google. Unfortunately, Google is still the one who decides what your description says. If Google thinks a part of your text is more relevant to the search query than your own meta description, they’ll simply show that. All you can do is deliver them as good a description as possible. More details here.
Hello @danniee!
Just to verify, are you using a page builder? The Yoast SEO plugin analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL and the main content box (WordPress editor). If you are adding your content through other plugin or theme content boxes (as most page builders do), our plugin might not be able to detect it by default.
In the past, we have tried to parse shortcodes and other content boxes with inferior results. Therefore, we opted to provide plugin and theme developers with an API that they can use to pass their content to our page analysis.
If you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the developer and ask them about adding the functionality to their code. This KB article will help them with the implementation — Can I add data to the page analysis?
With that being said, while our plugin isn’t able to detect all your text blocks and shows an incorrect analysis report, this doesn’t mean that search engines won’t be able to parse them. Our content analysis is to validate the content of your website and doesn’t really affect how search engines crawl and index your site.
Hello @lbrownie!
Just checked the old thread where this issue was previously discussed. Can you please perform a full conflict check?
The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen. Then check if the issue occurs. If not, reactivate your other plugins one at a time and see if the issue occurs for every plugin reactivated. Lastly, switch to your theme.
Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.
