Sorry, I missed your last message. Can you please check if there are Javascript errors on your browser’s console? Please follow the steps here. If you found errors, please send us a screenshot.
Hello @malhyp9!
Yes, you only need to submit your sitemap index (sitemap_index.xml) as Google will automatically parse the individual sitemaps. You may follow the steps here: https://yoast.com/help/submit-sitemap-search-engines/
Glad to know that resolved the issue. As for your other concern, please create a new thread for easier tracking.
Perhaps Google just doesn’t like your title. This can be true for all sorts of reasons and the ways of Google are fickle. We have seen that sometimes it can replace your title with parts of your URL. It’s also known to add the brand to the end of your title, or just completely rewrite it when it feels like it. Ultimately, Google will always make the final decision on what comes up on the search results. You can learn more in Google’s help doc about titles and descriptions here.
Hello!
Can you please perform the following and see if it resolves the issue?
- Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
- Go to your WordPress admin dashboard > Tools (sidebar) > Yoast Test
- Locate the Yoast SEO section and select the ‘Reset Internal link counter’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Indexables tables & migrations’ buttons
- After resetting, go to the WordPress admin dashboard > SEO (sidebar) > Tools section and click the ‘Start SEO data optimization’ button
Hello!
Please refer to this article to determine which posts/pages to noindex or nofollow on your site.
As for your other concern, there’s no option to nofollow (or follow) posts in bulk but you or your developer can use the wpseo-robots filter found here.
Hello!
Can you please make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress (5.6), Yoast SEO (5.5), as well as the latest version of your theme, and ALL other plugins?
Hello!
Can you please provide us a screenshot of your setup on the social tab of the Yoast SEO meta box? Please also include the image URL.
You may also try the steps here for complete data removal.
Hello,
If you’re using the Classic Editor, please make sure that you’re using the Visual mode instead of using the Text or Code View. Based on the video you provided, it looks like you’re using the code view. Can you please try it again and see if it highlights the correct text on your content?
Hello!
Have you tried switching to a standard theme like Twenty-Twenty? Does the issue occur? Also, can you please provide us a link to a sample post/page so we can check further?
Hello!
Unfortunately, we’re not familiar with the other plugins you’re referring to so we can’t tell if our plugins can replace what those plugins do to your site. However, you can find here and here a listing of all features that are available in both Yoast SEO Premium and Yoast WooCommerce SEO respectively.
Also, just an FYI, since you have our premium plugins, you’re eligible for premium support which is available via email at support@yoast.com.
Hi Julia!
We checked the source code of your site and we can see that the Yoast SEO plugin is generating the appropriate meta description. However, a separate description is also being generated by another SEO plugin. That may be where the issue is.
We don’t recommend having two SEO programs running at the same time as this can cause issues such as duplicate metadata which confuses Google to crawl the correct metadata.
Hello!
You can choose to disable certain features of the Yoast plugin by going to SEO > General > Features tab.
Another option is to use the SEO Roles feature to manage who gets access to the various settings and features of Yoast SEO. More details here: https://yoast.com/seo-roles/
Hello!
Unfortunately, that’s currently not possible but there’s already a feature request to allow multiple FAQ blocks per page and it is still under review by our product team.
What’s next?
Our product team will assess feature requests in relation to other open bug reports and new features. Based on their assessment, the feature request will be given a priority. Our developers work on the highest priority first. Unfortunately, this means we cannot give you an estimate if or when they’ll start working on your request. If you have any further information that may affect the prioritization, please feel invited to reply to this email.
