In reply to: Could someone please help me with headergordonmartin2103: Root and HandySolo have given you your answer. Take a good look at your style.css file, specifically the #header section. That’s where the blue blocks are coming from. If needed, use the link HandySolo gave you as a reference. Take note of any background colors, images, etc. that don’t belong or match the rest of your design. 🙂

In reply to: Different Header Image for pagesIf you want a random image displayed, you could use Patrick David’s Random Header Image script.
But if you’re wanting specific image header per page, then Conditional Tags would be the way to go, as Kaf suggested.

In reply to: Any “Birthdays Today” plugin or widget available? This may not be quite what you’re looking for, but a friend of mine uses Google’s Calendar Embeddable Helper to view Calendar events on her blog (and I’ve recently added it to one of my hobby sites and was able to modify to my liking).
You’d have to have a Google Calendar account. You go to your calendar, click on ‘Manage calendars’ under your list of calendars. When Calendar Settings opens, go to Calendar. Click on the name of your calendar you want displayed, when its details open up, click the HTML button next to ‘Calendar Address’. When the popup opens, click where it says ‘Use our configuration tool’. Another page will open in the background (Click OK out of the HTML link popup). From the Google Embeddable Calendar Helper, edit the calendar’s appearance to your liking and copy/paste the code into your blog’s template sidebar, index, page, etc. — wherever you’d like it to be displayed. 🙂
Hope that helps!

Thank you SO MUCH! :)))))

It’s no biggie, re: validation / fixing errors.
I use the HTML Validator plugin for Firefox, and it’s great at giving solutions/suggestions for fixing errors. 🙂
It’s all mostly little “quick fix” stuff, so if you need help, I’d be happy to give you a hand.

In reply to: can’t get any Amazon wish List plugin to workI don’t know if you’re still struggling with this or not, but after exhausting all options and suggestions listed here and on other posts, I ran across this post on a blog with a link to a wishlist image list (a.k.a. “badge”) generator.
Now I’m satisfied. 🙂

In reply to: template edit problemsI’m ashamed to admit that I use the online template editor … but it’s usually ONLY for emergency edits while I’m at work or otherwise away from my home computer. (it adds extras spaces to my template files when I do this, so it’s yet another incentive for me NOT to muck around online! LOL)
Perhaps it could be modified to where the option is disabled by default and would have to be turned on in a well-hidden option?
