  • Is it possible to create a landing page or squeeze page (or post) with twenty ten where there are no menues or have it display a custom menu?

    Why aren’t you just adding the following code:
    display:none;

    to the #site-title a
    and #site-description

    I would love to know how this issue was resolved because I just tried using the Breadcrumb NavXT and I’m now having Archives problems with my blog: http://www.lifecoach321.com.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ok, once again Blue Host comes through with a solution. It was my permalinks again. Basically we selected a standard permalink, saved the changes, then wrote my custom permalink again and saved changes. This fixed the 404 error pages I was getting in the comments link and post title.

    I reinstalled Akismet and it remembered my API key again. I installed WordPress Stats and chose the third option when I selected my website. I don’t remember what that one was called.

    comingapartagin, I feel your pain. After having my hosting company help me with a permalink issue, I was able to get my comments working. I then installed and activated Akismet and WordPress-Stats. One or the other is not only causing my comments to go to 404 error, but when I click on a post title I get 404 error. Aaugh.

    I’ve deleted both but the problem persists. I too think it has something to do with API key. Grrr…

    In reply to: Comments go to 404

    kp,
    I just got off the phone with my hosting company to request help with this very issue. I told him I thought it was a pretty permalink issue. And sure enough…that’s what it was. I originally had my permalins as /%postname%/ We removed the last forward slash and now it works great. Here’s what my permalink is now set to /%postname%

    I tried deleting Akismet like jalenoes suggested but that did not fix my problem. I’m going to try to reinstall Akismet now that the permalink / 404 error comment issue is resolved.

    Hope that helps.

    I just created a blog for a friend and was having the 404 error message after someone tried to comment. I called my hosting company, BlueHost and they were able to help me figure out it was my permalink. Originally I had entered it as /%postname%/ but after talking to the extremely helpful guy at BlueHost we changed it to /%postname% notice that we ditched the last /

    Not sure if you are using this type of permalink, but it sure fixed my problem.

    Good luck.
