In reply to: [Connections Business Directory] [Plugin: Connections] Activation errorThanks for the reply, Steven.
I’ve created the two folders and have permissions set for user and group ‘r+w+x’ but still getting the ‘not writable’ error. Do these folders need to be 777?
Thanks again.
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the response. I just won’t use the title text for now. Not a huge deal.
Cheers.
Update
I discovered that this only happens when there is link title text in the link. So when I removed “WordPress” from the above example, the markdown syntax remained and the links work.
BTW, this is a great plugin. Thank you for writing it.
Hi,
I’m having a similar problem with markdown links. I’m running v1.1.2 of the plugin with WP multisite 3.3.2.
When I save a draft of my post or page, the square brackets around the link text get escaped and the link breaks. So this:
[Link test](http://wordpress.org "Wordpress")Ends up like this:
\[Link test\](http://wordpress.org “WordPress”)
I appreciate any suggestions.

In reply to: PDFs not showing after upgrade to 3.3.1Nevermind. This is not a WordPress issue at all. It’s actually a FireFox/Adobe Reader problem on MacOS.
Sure hope they fix this bug soon.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Matisse Theme Help – Slideshow IssueHi,
Thanks for the great theme. I’m having a strange problem. When I put a custom background image into the theme, the white background for the ‘container_12’ class disappears, but only for pages. Posts are fine.
Here’s my posts page.
And here’s one of my pages.
I’ve tried having and not having the sidebar widgets on the pages because I thought that might be the problem, but it didn’t seem to make a difference.
Both archive.php and page.php seem to have the div with the ‘container_12’ class properly wrapping all the rest of it, so I’m kind of baffled.
I appreciated anything you can suggest.
Thanks again, Max. I will try applying the default theme and get back to you with the results.
Cheers.
Ooops, sorry about that. Here’s the code on pastebin.
By the way, I am using the Category Order plugin, but I tried de-activating that and it didn’t seem to affect the ordering of posts in their archives with Q2W3.
Thanks again.
Hi Max,
Thanks for taking a look. I’m using a slightly modified version of the Twenty-eleven theme, although I haven’t touched the file that displays post archives.
Here it is.

Thanks so much for your help!

In reply to: Apply style in advanced image settingsYeah, inline is what I ended up doing to get it to work. It’d be nice if the interface worked, tho.
Thanks.

In reply to: Apply style in advanced image settingsI’ve tried that a few times because often, that’s exactly the kind of thing I miss. But pressing “update” doesn’t apply the style of even retain the style I enter into the box.

In reply to: Missed Schedule – WP 3.1.3Running 3.2.1 multisite. Having the same issue when trying to schedule posts for a future time: “Missed schedule.”
Any suggestions?
EDIT: nevermind. I think the problem for me is that the site I was using this on is proxied, and the backend isn’t in DNS.

In reply to: Can't increase max upload size beyond 20MBI’ve also edited php.ini within my WordPress vhost and WordPress still tells me 20MB. I have no idea where 20MB is coming from. There’s nothing in either WP or in php.ini that has a setting of 20MB.
