Great! Thank you for reporting and supporting the plugin.
Maybe you would like to share that positive though about our plugin and support as a review at the WordPress Plugin Directory (here)? Anyway, thanks!
Hola @jrrsantacruz,
Update released (4.7.1). Please let us know if it fixes the issue you reported.
Here there is an explanation of why it happened and other issues you might experience with bylines on guest and multi-authored posts.
Hi @goodereader,
Do you have some sort of cache? Did you flush it after updating the plugin?
Please let us know if flushing your cache makes the issue go away.
Hey @ignitemedical,
Release of latest update has been pushed to the end of this week. Sorry about the inconvenience, but some major changes have been introduced and we need to test it thoroughly.
Hi @pidev,
I’m happy to let you know that we have been able to fix the “comma” issue. Now you can have a comma as author name separator with names that contain a comma. The fix will be included in upcoming 4.7.0 version.
In order to be able to have different byline delimiters based on the number of authors to display, you need to integrate the provided template tags (see here) and use the
'authorship/byline_separator'and'authorship/byline_last_separator'filters, which have the number of authors as second parameter.Sure. By the end of the next week. We will also provide full detail here on why it happens, why only some installations are affected and how to fix it (should the upcoming update not fix the issue for you).
Hi @ignitemedical,
Thanks for reporting this issue and for such detailed explanation of it, as you always do.
We have been able to reproduce the issue on our testing server, so we are already looking into it. As soon as we find a fix, we will let you know and we will release an update.
Thanks again!
Hi Colin,
We are really surprised by your review. You purchased the plugin once, asked for a refund and we provided it. Then you bought the plugin again letting us know that, despite the issue you found, it was the best of his class in your opinion. You reported us the issue and we resolved it promptly and accurately. You validated the fix yourself! And we even applied it on your staging site before releasing the update with the patch so you don’t had to wait for it. So yes, very surprised and sad by your words.
By the way, good old John is not the owner. Nor he went silent at all.
Thank you for your review @vireev. We’re sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience with our plugin. Unfortunately, writing a bad review because the plugin has a bug is not helpful for anyone, neither to you nor to us (as developers) nor to others.
Luckily, we have other users who understand how the open software community works and care enough to report issues like this one, helping us to quickly fix them. Thanks to them, who prefer to invest two minutes of their time to report instead of writing a useless bad review, we have been able to resolve it promptly and accurately. We have just released an update (4.6.22) with the fix.
So let us take the opportunity to thank all other users who care about contributing and make things better. We want to thank them as both developers and users.
Could you please try adding this snippet to your site, either to your functions.php file or there where you think best, and let us know whether it makes any difference:
add_filter( '_authorship/cache_delete/get_user_by', '__return_false' );Please make sure to flush any cache you may have after adding the snippet.
Hi @onico0,
Sorry about the laaaate reply! We’ve just checked on our testing server and we do get all author posts listed on the author page. That’s without using Divi Builder to customize that page’s template… but you said that you already tried that too. You also did all the troubleshooting steps, so… did you tried to refresh permalinks? If you want to give it a try, you just need to activate our plugin and go to Settings > Permalinks. No need to take any further action, opening that screen is enough to get permalinks regenerated. Could you please check whether the author page is showing some content now?
Please let us know.
Next Tuesday the 15th

Thanks for reporting this issue. We have been able to reproduce the issue and apply a fix. We will release an update (4.6.21) soon with the fix. If can’t wait for the update to be released, please open a support ticket with us here and we will provide a patch for you (you will just need to upload a file to the your server).
