In reply to: [Foyer - Digital Signage for WordPress] Refresh timeHi Menno,
thanks for your reply. It’s great you’re back in this forum.
Your suggestion would be an option if the external website I want to show were created by myself, unfortunately, this is not the case. The site is not my own so I have no control over it (in fact, it’s the german site fussball.de).
I’m aware that a refresh in a 1 minute interval would cause a heavy load and unnecessary delay. I rather thought about a 2 or 3 minute interval. But nevertheless, the 5 minutes will have to do. Perhaps it will cause the people to stand a bit longer watching the screen… which wouldn’t be bad either. Thanks again and have a nice day!

In reply to: [Foyer - Digital Signage for WordPress] Setting slide backgroundsHi, I know I’m late with this answer and I don’t know if it is of any use for you now.
However, you can choose a background image for your slides when you go to Slides in the Foyer menu, then select add new slide. There you can select an image for the background. If you want text in it, simply create a picture of your own in an application of your choice and add some text to it, upload it to the wordpress gallery and choose it as your background image. This should work.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Foyer - Digital Signage for WordPress] video no show…I’ve read somewhere, unfortunately I cannot remember where it was, that the Raspberry PI3 has simply not enough power to play videos in the foyer presentation and is therefore not recommended. Maybe this explains why it works in a desktop browser instead.
Perhaps in this case the new PI4 would be a better choice, but I don’t know for sure.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Foyer - Digital Signage for WordPress] multiple select slidesThis is bothering me also. However, from my point of view, this is a topic for WordPress, the media selection has nothing to do with the foyer plugin.
I’ve tested something and it worked, so perhaps you can use it. If I understand you correctly, you want to display a text page without any formatting.
Create a new picture with an app of your choice (I used libreoffice draw) which shows nothing but a blank white sheet. The format should correspond with your screen settings, in my case I have a resolution 1920×1080, which is 16:9. Go into Foyer, upload your new picture and choose it as background for your text page. You should get a white background with only your text on it.
Hope that helps.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Foyer - Digital Signage for WordPress] display with multiple channelsAs far as I can see, there are not much possibilities. I think you can obviously play only one channel at one time (otherwise it doesn’t make sense). So you have to schedule your channels. In the case you described, I would set up temporary channels (no default or standard channel), each one with it’s own time schedule which of course should not overlap. After running out of the time, you have to set up a new schedule manually. This is what I can see in the display configuration possibilities and I think there is room for improvements, for example, periodically recurring time schedules, in which case you wouldn’t have to enter it manually.
