In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Print does not keep bullets or numbersHello,
Thanks for using our personalized recipe plugin.
It looks like you’ve chosen to not include the recipe image in print view. This changes the print formatting to be printer friendly. If you’d like to maintain your recipe card formatting please include image in print view. This can be changed in the plugin settings.
The idea with printer friendly is that many food bloggers want to fit their recipes on one printed page. This then condensed the recipe info.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Meal Planner AMP CompatibilityHi Adam,
Thanks for your interest in switching to our personalized recipe plugin. I’ve forwarded your AMP question to our dev team and will let you know about compatibility.
My first response would be that our plugin formats recipe info in a way that is easily understood by Google. EasyRecipe does as well but the way they’ve structured their data can only be described as messy. This is why it was such a challenge for us create a conversion system for their plugin and could explain why AMP isn’t formatting things correctly.
I believe that our plugin should let Google display your recipe info in mobile search apps but will let you know.
Google has also started to manually penalize some food blog sites that are using recipe rating. Part of this is because Google can’t verify that the raters are real people and partly because the plugin settings aren’t being set properly for these. We don’t want to have any of our bloggers penalized so have removed all reference to recipe ratings until this is more clearly defined by Google. They’ve been vague on why they’re penalizing blogs for this.
EasyRecipe is one of the plugins being penalized.None of our bloggers have been penalized. Our plugin is fully compliant with Google’s Recipe View schema markup requirements.
More info soon. You could test our plugin for AMP compatibility yourself. Simply install our plugin and convert your EasyRecipe recipes with the click of a button. Then if not completely satisfied, click a button to convert them back.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Errors appearing on site and pluginThanks Beverly! We’re not seeing this with other food bloggers so is something unique to your site.
I forgot to ask if you’re using some sort of optimization plugin. These sometimes mess with or CSS and coding. We’re worked through this with most optimization plugin developers but you may be using one we’re not aware of.
If so, can you please try deactivating the optimization plugin, clear your browsing history, and see if this corrects the issue.
We’ll continue to look into things from our end.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Errors appearing on site and pluginHi Beverly,
Error messages are never good but generally easy to fix. I’ve forwarded this to our dev team to diagnose the issue.
Do you see this issue when trying to create a recipe or after a recipe is posted? Are you using symbols in your recipe cards such as for measurement fractions, degrees, etc.?
Please try again later in the day to see if it’s remedied itself and I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from dev. It could be tomorrow before I have answers.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Not an standalone plug-inHello,
We’re sorry to hear you no longer wish to use our plugin. Readers actually love that they can take action on food blogger recipes such as saving to their recipe box, creating shopping lists, and planning out their meals. When you make it easy for them to engage with your content they keep coming back over and over. And they do.
We don’t charge you or your readers for any of our industry leading products and features. Your readers can save as many recipes as they’d like. The only way we have to pay for our service and to continue to develop new features is with a few ads on the pages we host. We wouldn’t be able to provide this product any other way. I’m sure you, as a food blogger, understand that you have to pay the bills somehow.
You can hide the three buttons below the save and print buttons but cannot remove the save and print buttons. You can also edit the recipe card colors and add your logo to the personalized pages if you decide to use them.
If anything changes please let us know. We’d love to keep you as a client.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] sharing recipes with imageHello,
When recipes are shared using social media widgets they don’t use the recipe plugin info or image for this. They share your recipe page URL and use an image from the post itself. Usually your featured image or the first image found in the post.
If social sharing doesn’t include an image you’ll need to contact support at the developers that have created the social sharing widgets about this.
Good luck and thanks for using our personalized recipe plugin.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] One Recipe per Post? And Custom Fonts?P.S. – Alternate solution for your example of two recipes in one post
Most bloggers combine two recipe into one recipe placeholder.
Something like this…Note how I put an exclamation mark before each recipe title in ingredients and instructions. This make them bold.
Ceviche Yucatan Recipe
Ingredients
!For the Cerviche:
1 lb. fresh mini shrimp, or larger shrimp peeled, deveined and cut into small pieces
10 – 12 limes, juiced (or ~1 cup of lime juice)
2 – 3 habanero peppers*, sliced very thin
1/2 a red onion, sliced thin
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp cumin!For the Guacamole:
4 – 5 ripe avocados
2 tbsp minced jalapenos
1 clove minced & crushed garlic
2 tbsp minced shallots
1/4 cup lime or lemon juice (2 limes/1 lemon)
1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder (optional)Instructions
!For the Cerviche:
Juice the limes into a glass bowl.
Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel and add to the lime juice. Cover with plastic wrap, place in the fridge and allow to marinate at least 30 minutes, or until pink. If you couldn’t find raw shrimp, you can skip marinating since it’s already cooked!
Stir in the sliced habanero, onion, and cumin.
Refrigerate for another 30 – 60 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
Remove from fridge, uncover, and stir in cilantro. Serve with guacamole and salty tortilla chips!!For the Guacamole:
Mash avocados in a bowl. Add the lime/lemon juice to prevent browning. Mix all ingredients together, check for taste and adjust seasoning/ingredients as necessary. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend. Serve with salty tortilla chips!Other tips:
– you can display images in your recipe cards by simply typing a question mark then pasting the image URL after. i.e. – %http://myrecipeimage.com/upload
– if you want to make a word or phrase bole you use an asterisk before and after the word or phrase. i.e. – “fresh cilantro*

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] One Recipe per Post? And Custom Fonts?Hi Jenn,
Thanks for using our personalized recipe plugin. We really appreciate it!
Although we don’t currently support multiple recipes in one post there is a workaround for this.
Step 1: Create your first recipe using the Meal Planner Pro placeholder and save the recipe.
Step 2: Go to edit post > switch from edit “View” mode to edit “Text” mode > copy the Meal Planner Pro placeholder shortcode that you created for the first recipe. It will look something like this “[mpprecipe-recipe:733]” > paste the shortcode where you’d like the second recipe positioned in the post > update the changes > go back to the “View” mode > then open the second placeholder to add or edit the info for the second recipe.
It looks complicated but really isn’t.
We haven’t finished the tool to edit fonts yet. Still a work in progress. If you know HTML/CSS then you can edit this yourself. You can edit any of the recipe card design elements that you wish to this way.
I don’t know if you seen this but you can now edit the recipe card colors now from the plugin settings. If I could make a suggestion…I think you’ll like the “Elegant 7” stylesheet design much more than the “Traditional” stylesheet you’re currently using. I think it compliments your site design better.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] buttonsHello Arrisje,
Our buttons are designed in a way to be mobile friendly and cannot be replaced with your own design in png. Other plugins render their buttons as images which take longer to display on mobile etc. We render our buttons in a different way.
I hope this makes sense. You can, of course, edit the colors of the buttons. Mobile considerations are so important these days. Other plugins really haven’t addressed this.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Nutrition Facts & RatingsHello,
You’re very welcome! Thank you for using our personalized plugin.
Supporting other languages is on our to do list. This will take some time to enable. If you only require this for the nutrition info then we may be able to push this up in the order.I hope you can get by with English until then. (at least two months)
Thanks,

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Doesn't work, pop up emptyHello,
We’ve released a new plugin version that may fix the issue you were having. i.e. – your server may be using an old version of PHP so have added compatibility with older versions etc. Please give it a try to see if it corrects the issue.
Thanks,
