In reply to: What is the function to list allowed XHTML tags for comments@whooami… thanks for that guidance – sorry if that is too obvious but I didn’t know if there was a preferred method or anything. Commenting out the <b>, <i> and <strike> tags in $allowed tags worked as I’d hoped.
@otto42 – thanks also for taking the time to reply; however I have removed the non-compliant tags just in case 😉

In reply to: What is the function to list allowed XHTML tags for commentsFantastic! That did the trick – thank you. Now, does anyone know how I remove <b> and <i> from the allowed list as they have been deprecated in XHTML 1.1?

In reply to: Post editor unusable since Firefox crashedI’ve found a workaround… if I disable the visual editor in my options, then I can edit posts in Firefox; however what I don’t understand is why the visual editor has suddenly got messed up 🙁 It’s fine from IE on my wife’s Windows PC, so I’m pretty sure it’s specific to this browser.

In reply to: Post editor unusable since Firefox crashedHi Tom,
When I said that it crashed, it just closed without warning and since I restarted it, the edit box in the WordPress Editor is unavailable. I’ve restarted the Mac a couple of times since then and everything else seems fine (I’m using it to write this…) so a re-install (losing history, bookmarks, etc.) seems a bit extreme.I was wondering if there were some cached files or a cookie or something that I need to delete?
Cheers, Mark

In reply to: wp-mobile: structure uses <h3> for top level headingAs is so often the case, I found the answer soon after posting the question – just edit the index.php file in the wp-mobile theme.

In reply to: XML-Error, OPML-Import@kimhbel – thanks, although I still couldn’t get it to work using a local file – only via URL (I also used Google Reader)
@learnerblogger – see above – try importing from a file in your webspace. You could also try to validate your OPML.
