In reply to: Sidebar: How Do I Add to It???It would help if you named the theme you are useing and a link to your site.
Many themes use a slightly different way to call up and style the sidebar function.

In reply to: Changing the Header in a Theme and Inserting ImagesIf your are useing the default “Kubrick” theme look in the header.php file you will find this:
/* To ease the insertion of a personal header image, I have done it in such a way, that you simply drop in an image called ‘personalheader.jpg’ into your /images/ directory. Dimensions should be at least 760px x 200px. Anything above that will get cropped off of the image. */
It done’t get easier than that.

In reply to: Is This Script Really Necessary? That script isn’t “necessary” it’s one of those nice to have design things.
Hover your curser over your links that have a “title” attribute (Those in your menu at the top will do). The pretty little dark grey box that pops up is created by the “nice title” script.
If memory serves me correctly that theme has a plugin (nice titles) that activates the script. If so just deactivate it.

In reply to: KG Archives PluginYep that did it.
But funny I did use the correct tags as per the readme file, for some reason it burped. A second attempt corrected the problem.

In reply to: KG Archives PluginCall me stupid… go ahead.
Now that your done with that.
Is this supposed to place a button on the write page display like the comment form plugin? I’m assuming not because your instructions state to manually place the two sections of code.
Secondly, when I used the code (
<--KGSortForm--><--KGSortArch-->) it displayed the tags vice the archives.Any thoughts?

In reply to: To-do list pluginWhy not make use of the miniblog plugin for a to do list.
You can enter anything you desire in the miniblog and display it wherever you like (main page or sidebar).

In reply to: My Sidebar!Well said Podz.
Apparently CK has confused “the customer is always right,” with freely given advice and knowledge, of a free product.
And to paraphrase; “lol sorry thats too funny.” Or NOT!
EDIT: Looks as though Root has found a more important issue for them to concern themselves with. Not surprised, more worried about style than substance.
BTW CK “It seems that each time we visit the site and click on certain aspects we give WP money.”
Your click, your choice and none of that goes to those that offer free advice!
And somehow I tend to believe if your so easily distracted by those stupid little ads it more than likely wouldn’t be possible to give you what is desired.

In reply to: Meta, Blogroll etcCall up your sidebar template and delete the sections you don’t need.
In fact from a quick look at your site I’m guessing you desire to display none of the data from the side bar. If that’s the case look in your index.php for a section that calls the sidebar and comment it out or delete the call.

In reply to: How Do I edit this 3 colum templateWhat!
Maybe I’m missing something…but. I see your using WP 1.5. If you need to edit a theme you should go to your dashboard click “Presentation” then “Theme editor.”
The first file normally on display is the CSS file. Along the right side are all the other template files for that theme.
