In reply to: [Neve] Main photo captionHey @c3100w,
Thank you for explaining exactly what is the desired behaviour!
If you want to display the caption of the featured image you can add the code from this link https://gist.github.com/MarinescuLucia/167522054bab565fea2739cdb1527c9b.
Please keep in mind that we encourage every user to set up a child theme so that they won’t encounter any future problems. You can read more about this here https://docs.themeisle.com/article/985-how-to-create-a-child-theme-for-neve.

In reply to: [Neve] Change Website Main Image Dimensions Using CSSHey there!
Thank you for keeping us updated!
To set different images for mobile and desktop in order to get rid of the pixelation problem, you can use the Otter Blocks plugin which comes with the Section Block. By using a Section Block you can set visibility conditions and choose it to be hidden on mobile, therefore visible on desktop and vice versa.
To do that simply add a Section Block -> add an image inside -> in the right tab Visibility Conditions should appear; open the settings for the Rule Group -> select Screen Size as the condition -> Hide on Mobile/Desktop. Add another Section Block in the same way and hide it on the other device and you should be all set.
Please let us know if you need assistance with anything else!
Kind regards,
Mara

In reply to: [Hestia] Background on everypageHi there!
The look on your homepage was achieved by using homepage sections that let you change their background image or color. These sections can be used only for the homepage. However, in the premium version of Hestia you can use these sections in every page you want, helping you get the same consistent look throughout your entire site. You can learn more about this by checking this article – https://docs.themeisle.com/article/782-how-to-recreate-hestia-pro-frontpage-using-shortcodes-with-shortcodes.

In reply to: [Neve] Main photo captionHey there!
Thank you for using Neve and for reaching out to us!
To clarify, it sounds like you’re referring to the featured image. If that’s the case, the only way to set a caption for that image is by going to the Media Library, selecting the specific photo, and adding a caption in the image’s attributes.
Let me know if you need any further assistance!
Kind regards,
Mara

In reply to: [Neve] Mobile menu won’t scroll in desktopHi @sarahsas,
Thank you for using Neve and for reaching out to us!
I have checked your website and if you zoom-in enough for the menu to transform into the hamburger one, and click on it, when the sidebar becomes visible, I am able to drag it up and down.
Please check these first so we can identify the exact cause of this issue:
- Make sure you have all your plugins and theme up to date.
- Caching: Caching can cause a multitude of problems, make sure you clear your website’s cache. You can follow this article.
- Plugin Conflict: Sometimes two plugins can interact in a way that breaks a functionality. Make sure you follow the steps described in this article to rule out this situation.
Please let us know how if this solves the problem!
Best regards,
Mara

In reply to: [Neve] How to solve excessive DOM tree?Hey Mattias!
Thank you for using Neve and for reaching out to us!
Regarding the large DOM tree with over a thousand elements, it’s true that the number of DOM elements can be influenced by the theme, but it’s also significantly affected by the content, plugins, and any customisations you have on the page.
I did some testing with a fresh instance of the theme, including some plugins for importing a starter site, imported one, and the number of elements resulted was approximatively 350. Adding a slider and a couple of additional plugins brought the DOM count up to about 600 elements.
Your current count of 1,100 elements isn’t excessive for a content-heavy page, it depends on what customisation you have currently on the page, the plugins installed and other details that depend on the way you have built your site. However, there are still ways to minimize the number of DOM elements. I recommend checking out articles and blogs that offer additional insights and optimisation tips for reducing DOM size.
Let me know if there is anything I can assist you with regarding our theme functionalities!
Kind regards,
MaraHi @claytoncollie,

In reply to: [Hestia] Background on everypageThank you for explaining the desired look!
To remove the boxed layout simply go into the Customizer -> Appearance Settings -> General Settings and disable the Boxed Layout option.
This should help you achieve a look similar to the one you have on the homepage.
Please let me know how it goes!
Best regards,
Mara

In reply to: [Hestia] Woocommerce Basket and Checkout ButtonsHey @charmstrong,
Thank you for your persistence and for offering us details!
I was able to replicate the issue and have come up with the following options to fix it. First go into the Customizer -> Additional CSS and add this code snippet there:
#wc-block-components-totals-shipping__change-address__link{
color: black !important;
}This will fix the issue where the text doesn’t appear because it has the same color as the background.
Additionally you can add these lines of code right after setting the color to black to make it look better:
- Remove the underline for that text:
text-decoration: none !important;2. Remove the shadow of the button:
box-shadow: none !important; We hope this helps you achieve the right look!
Please let us know how it goes!
Kind regards,
Mara

Hi @ngodong,
I apologize for the confusion earlier, and thank you for pointing that out.
Since you are using the Pro version of Otter, we would love to help you directly through our dedicated support channels. The guidelines limit us to providing support here only for the free version.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding! If you ever need help with anything else, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
MaraHi @ngodong,
Thank you for using Otter Blocks and for reaching out to us!
The Review Comparison table is no longer part of the Otter Blocks, from a few versions ago. We will update the docs too to remove any possible confusion. It is available in the premium version of the plug-in, through an integration with the Neve theme.
Could you make sure that you are using the latest version of Otter Blocks to make sure everything runs smoothly?
Let us know if you need help with anything else!
Kind regards,
Mara
