In reply to: [Email Before Download] Questions about EBDHi @meruth101,
We do not have any youtube videos showing how to integrate it but we do have screenshots and steps listed in our FAQ. All you have to do is make sure EBD, CF7, and Download monitor are installed and active. Once you use the shortcode provided in our FAQ, EBD will display the contact form then once filled out will display the download.

In reply to: [Email Before Download] The result is displayed twiceHi @fsakai,
Thank you for the details and reaching out. If you want to download a previous version please refer to this Link.
If you could also provide the following:
1. Shortcode and a URL showing the WordPress Download Monitor working successfully
2. Shortcode and a URL showing the Contact Form 7 working successfully
3. Shortcode and a URL showing the Email Before Download failing/succeeding
If these URL’s/shortcodes could all be on separate pages it would help the troubleshooting process.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Email Before Download] Questions about EBDHi @meruth101,
Thank you for reaching out. No worries about the duplicate question, I will resolve the other thread. You can be very confident as consumers that EBD will continue to update regularly, in fact, we are in the process of releasing a pro version as well as maintaining our current free version. Updates are regular and the forum is patrolled daily. In regards to the following:
“We want to change that where someone will now need to supply the name and email and when clicked gets the instant PDF download.” – EBD collects both name and email fields by default, which can be exported to CSV file.
“Can we use just EBD and Download together or do we have to add in Contact Form 7?” – Contact Form 7 is required when using our plugin.
“Let’s say we have 5 PDF’s and want to give the customer the choice to Instant Download 1 of the 5 PDF’s, or 3 of the 5 PDF’s or all 5 PDF’s – is there a way to give them a selection choice?” – For this in the EBD settings we have ‘Multiple URL Template’. Upon configuration of these settings allows for a picklist of downloads where a user can specify which downloads/ files they want to download after filling out the CF7 form.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Email Before Download] Email file attachment not workingHi @doc275,
No Problem! We have had users report this issue before and usually, it was a setting in the WP site settings. If that is not the case for you, hopefully, the SMTP platform can shed some light. Please reach out if you are experiencing any other problems.
Hi @iruflex,
Unfortunately, we currently do not support the feature you are looking for. In fact, the user has to enter their data even to download the same file. Thank you for bringing this feature to our attention though, we are currently working on a Pro Version and will look to include this feature there.

In reply to: [Email Before Download] Email file attachment not workingHi @doc275,
After testing it we realized the link that is sent through email is located on HTTP and when you try to open it by clicking directly from Gmail, for example, it will not work since Gmail is on HTTPS. After copying the link and opening it in a separate window and the download worked. To fix this you can look through your WP site settings and check all the settings of the site. To see how the links are generated. If there is anywhere they use HTTP instead of HTTPS.

In reply to: [Email Before Download] the shortcode can’t use in elementorHi @akidstar,
When designing the EBD plugin we didn’t have Elementor in mind, so it has never been tested with it. Unfortunately, when using plugins like Elementor for creating WP pages, the shortcode is in some ways distorted and not processed the same. If you would be able to provide a link to the page you are experiencing the issue we can still try and troubleshoot it for you, and potentially figure out what happens to the shortcode when using Elementor.
In reply to: [Email Before Download] Adding extra downloadHi @rjfnz,
I am unsure if I completely understand the issue you are experiencing. Are you saying you want to have an additional page on the website containing the EBD plugin with the same contact form but would like it to point to a different download? If this is the case, yes absolutely this can be done. In the email before download shortcode there is an ID associated with each download. If you want the form to download a different file first you must go to the download monitor plugin and include the file you are wanting the user to download. Once this is done note the ID and make sure to include it in the EBD shortcode. Here is a shortcode example:
[email-download download_id="1698" contact_form_id="1696"]
Make sure the ID to the file you wish the user to download is included between the quotations after download_id.
Here is a link to the FAQ on where to find the IDs for the CF7 form and the download monitor. https://wordpress.org/plugins/email-before-download/#faq
