In reply to: showing say.. only the five latest entries on my blog?I think he knows that you can use that option to set how many posts on the front page are displayed; however, he doesn’t want that option to affect how many posts are displayed on an archive link. For example, five posts on the front page are displayed, but for category “General” all the posts in that category are displayed.

In reply to: Slow the_content()Thanks for that. I disabled Spam Stopgap Extreme, and it did speeden things up a bit (at least noticeably). I am now trying Spam Karma to catch comment spam. We’ll see how it goes.

The only plugins I have activated are Auto-hyperlink URLs, del.icio.us cached, Search Hilite, Markdown, Prerender, Spam Stopgap Extreme, and WP Statistics. I don’t always get <2s times. Sometimes I will get more, perhaps three seconds. Thanks though.

In reply to: Trackbacks broken in 1.5?Wow! That fix actually did fix my outbound trackbacks (inbound trackbacks have worked for a while now), which haven’t worked since 1.2 for me. I don’t think my outbound pings work yet though. How would I know for sure?

In reply to: Trackback only works inboundI’m getting this same problem… I trackbacked to myself using doughal’s trackbacking utility– it worked. I trackbacked to myself using my own post in my own blog– it didn’t work. I’m on IRC right now. Hopefully someone knows. >_>

In reply to: 1.3 upgrade (6/10) problemI got the same problem when I upgraded to the nightly one or two days ago. As a makeshift fix I inserted that column in the table where appropriate. However, I don’t believe that would be a permanent solution…
