In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms] Add custom checkbox to form?@constantcontact I will pass that info to my client.
Yes, this is a type of permission granting.
Thanks for the very quick reply.

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms] CSS tips for online forms@constantcontact – I see you advocate less code for equal results? I like that.
I’m using Flexbox and Grid on other projects; this site owner wants very quick turnaround.
Thank you for the tips!!

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms] CSS tips for online forms@constantcontact This is typical of what I’m doing now to make the form easier to use. This is first and last name …

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms] CSS tips for online forms@constantcontact simply being able to place fields side by side was my first goal. I cannot use the ID attributes you showed, because the containers for each form field are styled paragraphs.
But I am curious about the filter you provided.

In reply to: Child theme for custom theme freezes admin@jnashhawkins Very interesting! I now have a child theme that does not crash the site. I have been trying to move away from plugins for the usual reasons. But in this case a plugin worked!
I tried solutions other people talked about here, like more padding. I turned off the plugin after those failed. The entire banner plugin idea is suspended for now. I did at least find a workaround for problems with the hamburger.
I will eventually need to find a banner plugin that pushes the page content down to make room for itself.

In reply to: [OnePress] Broken navigation “hamburger”@famethemes This was a two-fold problem. A banner plugin partly obscured the hamburger, rather than pushing down entire page. Also, we are using a tool for critical path CSS that needs some work.
I will contact the banner plugin author.
Our mobile view is fixed now!

In reply to: [Show Current Template] Doesn’t show in tool-bar? menu-bar?@kruddock In the WordPress admin area, under Users, find the entry for the administrative login you are using. Click the edit link. Look for a checkbox named Toolbar. Make sure that is checked and the setting is saved (Update Profile). You should now see the template info, assuming you are visiting with the same browser you used to log into WordPress admin. I do this by having different tabs open in the browser.
This is not mentioned in the plugin FAQ.

In reply to: [OnePress] Background color of primary navigation barI found a way to force the CSS to load. Thanks.

In reply to: [OnePress] Background color of primary navigation barI will try to sort out the CSS selectors that control this. Changes made by the recommended method here go away within hours. Presumably the caching is why.
I understand that certain WordPress tools like “Customize” are popular for users who don’t understand code. But in this case it is not giving me full control.
Since I started this thread, here is the final word received today from Google:
It appears your app is a Gmail SMTP plug-in for WordPress AND you or the site admin are the only users of the app. If that is the case, you do NOT need to go through the verification process. We recommend that you continue to use your app with the “unverified app” screen intact as your use of the Gmail API is not for public.
Google Cloud Platform/API Trust & Safety
For me this is now resolved.

https://example.com/wp-content/mmr/5d023f02-1545240768.min.css@slaffik Thank you for the additional work done on this. When I follow the link back to the Google API page, the two “Application Type” radio buttons (one marked Internal) are not available. However, I recently submitted my setup to Google for verification, and there are now several indicators that verification is pending.
I may not have posted enough of the original Google message to be of full use to you Slava. In my environment, the policy about releasing information is strict. So I’m just waiting to hear from Google.
@slaffik My post was not intended to disrespect you. Since this forum is public, I thought you or someone else might have also seen this type of message from Google. I will continue to work with Google on this.
@slaffik That’s interesting, because the email looked like a mass mailing. Apparently not.
I have followed their links and read the documentation. There are a variety of ‘submit’ options. I want to identify the one that directly applies to how we use the API.
Using educated guesswork, I submitted my existing setup for Google’s approval. It seems that I am a test case for this item, yes?
