In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] 1 out of 3 sliders has too much height?@nextendweb_gabor that put me on the right path. I now have the adjustment I needed!

In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Add some space between slides?@nextend_ramona thank you for details. I have a concern about Pro version over-writing values in the free version, but I’ll take that question over to the other help area.
Our work-around: The client is good with Photoshop, so he is creating new images with white margins on left and right.
So, apparently two possible solutions for anyone who finds this post.

In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Images shake after page load@nextend_ramona I deleted the old plugin version, uploaded/installed your zip, flushed the server cache, and did a browser force-refresh. The slider looks rock solid to me!

In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Images shake after page load@nextend_ramona I will start on that this afternoon. And report back!

In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Images shake after page load@nextend_ramona Well, the browser was at 90%. Going to 100% made it worse but …
The CSS solved the problem. Nothing wrong with applying a magic wand!
Greatly appreciate the rapid response.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Images shake after page load@nextend_ramona Yes. I opened a new private window in Firefox and got the shaking. More detail: It is a left-to-right motion of perhaps a millimetre. Once the slider goes to the next image and so on, the shaking is no longer visible.
I’ve seen a lot of bugs in the past 15 years, but this is new.

Sounds like this is an instance with a simple solution already in place!Plus, thanks for the quick reply!
Here is our work-around. I went into WPForms and turned OFF the reCaptcha option. Then I installed a plugin that does reCaptcha and nothing else. Now the errors have stopped, and we have full functionality for the form and also reCaptcha.
Occasionally in WordPress, no one can figure out the *exact* cause, but a work-around gets the project rolling. Sometimes absolute certainty is our friend and sometimes it is not.

To my surprise, changing to TwentyNineteen has fixed the problem with the contact form.
We paid a ‘subscription’ fee for WPForms, so we want it to work.
Not sure how to resolve conflict with our OnePress theme?
@nazmulhassann20 From the list I posted, you can see it was already in “No Conflict” mode.
I re-ran this test today, pulling out scripts and letting them back in. The only ones loading in the page are:
- Two required WordPress jQuery scripts, plus WordPress ‘wp-embed’ script.
- Three theme (OnePress) scripts that are required for basic functionality. As an extreme test, I tried pulling them out. It broke the site but did NOT fix the contact form.
- WPForms scripts.

The mysterious ‘1519px’ and ‘1280px’ turn out to be viewport widths. The reason they are changing dynamically in the Chrome Dev Tools is that the CSS values do not come from CSS. There is a jQuery in OnePress that plays a big part in the splash-page background image sizing.
@famethemes
If I had known that, my approach to this issue would have been different. This is the same domain where we have not had any email delivery problems for more than two years. Also, same software.
I replaced Contact Form 7 with WP Forms, and replaced Google Gmail authentication with SendInBlue. Now the outgoing web-form test messages work fine.
Thank you for the suggestion re DMARC, SPF, DKIM
That is good advice.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [OnePress] Hero/background image suddenly too bigDisabling all the plugin did not make any difference.
After hours of messing with CSS, I can’t figure what part of the theme is making the image be either 1519px wide (inline CSS from who knows where?) or sometimes 1280px wide (grayed out in dev tools, so I can’t find source).
Just for laughs I replaced the image itself with another version 1920px wide, and scale it DOWN instead of up. Now it works. But, wasted half a day on one picture.

In reply to: [OnePress] Hero/background image suddenly too big@longnguyen I will do that today.
I was so focused on analyzing in the Chrome web dev tools, I did not do that plugin step.@tendigit I wondered if SG might not be doing the same with multiple customers. Why I went ahead posted here, just in case.
Clients get that kind of notification, think I don’t understand it so I’ll just trash the email. Life of dev.
Rock on.
