In reply to: [GigPress] Schedule Gigpress Shows in advanceIf we have to add manual posts just to schedule them, we probably don’t need Gigpress at all. I think the best option then would be to just set up a custom post type for events.

In reply to: [GigPress] Schedule Gigpress Shows in advanceUnfortunately, related posts are setup to publish immediately or on the show date itself. Which is pointless in terms of scheduling date announcements in advance.
Seems like such a simple concept that every artist I’ve ever worked with needs.
Announce a tour in advance at a specific time. This is still an issue. Any eta on a fix?
As mentioned in the original post, we tried that and it had no effect.
Any other ideas? Seems to m this is a really simple issue?
If you can set up a template for both the album AND gallery pages, then surely you need the ability to target both the album AND gallery template you want to use?
Unfortunately we are on a global multi-site install and can’t install unknown plugins.
besides, it seems counter-intuitive to install a plugin, then be required to download and install a secondary plugin to make the first one function properly.Any other suggestions? We had hoped to utilize Nextgen across dozens of major sites, but we keep running into this basic hurdle. which means we may have to abandon it.
This template bug that seems to have existed for quite some time, still remains an issue.
Would love to get some more assistance on this and try to help locate the issues. From what I can see – the easiest fix would be to allow the setting of the template path for galleries (in addition to the albums) via shortcode. At least then we could be sure the right template is being used.
I wanted to add to this post. Same issue for me with latest of Duplicator. Been using it for years with no issue, but seems now the package installer is missing a bunch of directories and files (including wp-uploads) which explains the huge difference in package size. Mine too are coning in at around 2-10mb where I know most sites are much larger than that.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Download Codes] bug with the WP latest versionany ideas? lots of people use Firefox, that’s for sure. This most certainly does not work with Firefox.
This is a problem again now. Seems different versions of Firefox have the problem as described in my first post.
Any ideas on what causes the problem? I have a thousand codes out there and people being unable to claim their file every day!

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Download Codes] Code deletion after use?I agree. I have a list of codes/releases that will expire on certain dates and I’d like to remove them from the system entirely when they do.
A delete button would be a great idea for both the Manage Codes section and the Manage Releases section. Even if you create a new release that has a typo/incorrect spelling – you can’t even delete it?
I upgraded to firefox 3.6.7 too and it now works. not sure what the issue is or what changed though…
what version you running? I’ve tried it on 2 versions on 2 different machines and still not working.
I am using 3.6.6
I’ve traced this original issue to Firefox only. The download link works great in all other browsers but Firefox. Anyone got any ideas what could be the issue in firefox?

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Download Codes] bug with the WP latest versionThat worked great but now we have a new problem.
I enter a code and can see the download link to my specified file.
Problem is, the download link goes nowhere. The code for the link is…<a href="">link is here</a>The address to the zip isn’t being picked up? Any ideas? thanks again for your help.
UPDATE – the link works fine in all other browsers except for FIREFOX. Why does the link fail in Firefox? Any ideas?

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Download Codes] bug with the WP latest versionI have a similar error. No matter how I specify the download path (via creating a folder in uploads or by entering an absolute url), when i go to create a release, it never finds a zip file in the folder so I can’t select anything and get past this point.
Any ideas? I have placed a valid zip file in my specified folder but the dropdown menu used to select the zip file is always empty.
Is this a problem with WordPress 3.0?
I think it may be a path problem. No matter what absolute url I put in, it begins with a ‘//’ before it on the Manage Releases input page.
So if my absolute url is http://www.website.com – the Manage releases displays it as //http://www.website.com
